Barana Ranasen (Born Barana Ranasen Kithsiri, 27 February 1992) is a solo artist hailing from Colombo, Sri Lanka.
He began his musical career at the tender age of 20 and now he intends on becoming a full time musician. His parents and brother have been instrumental in encouraging his musical career and have impacted his life in so many different ways throughout.
He learned music as a subject and is still continuing with the learning process. He came on top in a variety of musical events during his time at school. Although he had followed Eastern Classical Music from his childhood, his love for Rock music was always noticeable. Now he is set to cut his teeth by entering the industry as a new generation Rock artist, He is going to make a huge transformation by making Rock music while adding the Sri Lankan Classical color and flavor to it. From his childhood, he has loved to sing both Western and Eastern songs while playing the guitar.
