Molluscum contagiosum
🔸️caused by pox virus
🔸️vesicular Papules with central umbilication
🔸️usually multiple may be single
🔸️more extensive and may persist for months
🔸️lesion may appear on any part of the body
🔸️resolution without any intervention usually within 1year
🔸️common in young children
🔸️kissing lesion - lesion tend to spread along the skin and areas of skin contact

🔴profuse watery diarrhoea + abdominal cramps and increasing distension (on antibiotics) → pseudomembranous colitis (Girotra’s
triad)
🔴Certain antibiotics can cause an overgrowth of Clostridium difficile, which produces
pseudomembranous colitis.
🔴clostridial infections: tetanus, gas gangrene, puerperal infection, botulism, pseudomembranous
colitis (C. difficile)
