But in reality, job searching often means applying to many opportunities, sometimes without even knowing if you’ll hear back.
So is it practical to spend a long time rewriting your CV for every single application?
Here’s a strategy we recommend

Create one strong CV tailored to the main role you’re targeting.
This becomes your primary version and the one you’ll use most often.
🧩 2. Secondary CVs (1–3 versions)
Have a few additional versions for related roles you occasionally apply for.

This saves time while still keeping your applications relevant.

Customize your CV specifically for the jobs you really want.

⏳ “I applied… but how long do companies usually take to respond?”
This is one of the most common questions. Especially from freshers.
Here’s the reality:

âś… Many take a few days to a couple of weeks
⚠️ But hearing back after 1 month? Very rare

If you haven’t heard anything within 1 week, it’s best to move on and keep applying.
