Horana Urban Council Digital Management System

Proud to share our group project developed to support the digital transformation of local government services at the Horana Urban Council.

This system was designed to reduce traditional paperwork and modernize government processes by converting manual services into a fully digital platform.

🔹 Main Features

▪️Online booking system for public facilities such as playgrounds and crematorium services
▪️Digital forms and online request handling instead of physical paperwork
▪️Online property tax payment system with payment gateway integration
▪️Business license and building permit applications
▪️Event booking and waste management request handling
▪️Public announcements and notices for residents

🤖 Smart AI Chatbot

One of the key features of our project is a voice-enabled AI chatbot that allows users to interact with the system more easily. Residents can ask questions, access services, and make bookings using voice commands and chatbot assistance.

🔐 Administration Portal

We also developed a secure administration portal for Urban Council staff to:

▪️Review complaints and citizen requests
▪️Approve or reject licenses and permit applications
▪️Manage financial records and payments
▪️Handle HR and salary management
▪️Monitor inventory and supply management

This project aims to improve efficiency, transparency, accessibility, and convenience for both citizens and government officers through digital technology.
