We are proud to unveil the completed design for Wickrama Hardware (Pvt) Ltd — a purpose-built commercial showroom and office building located at Aggona Junction, Walpola. Situated within a dynamic urban fabric, this project demanded a facade language that commands presence while the interior creates a refined, welcoming customer experience.

𝑬𝒙𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒐𝒓 𝑪𝒐𝒏𝒄𝒆𝒑𝒕
The facade responds to its urban setting with bold massing, floor-to-ceiling glazing, and a confident material palette of dark cladding, timber-finish panels, and warm accent lighting - projecting the brand's authority on the streetscape.
𝑰𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒐𝒓 𝑨𝒕𝒎𝒐𝒔𝒑𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆
Inside, a contemporary language of clean lines and warm amber tones shapes every zone - from the tool and hardware showroom to the executive office. Structured shelving, natural wood textures, and accent lighting create a space that is both functional and aspirational.

The building's identity is defined by contrast — a deep, perforated dark metal facade encases the upper volumes, its intricate laser-cut patterning casting ever-changing shadows across the street below as daylight shifts.

Against this shadow, full-height glazed bays glow from within. Warm amber interiors — curated retail floors visible from the street — create a lantern-like effect at dusk, drawing the eye and inviting entry.

A travertine-framed entrance portal grounds the composition with natural warmth, flanked by vertical timber screens that echo the perforated language above.

The Residence Situated within the evolving urban character of Kotte, this renovation project responds directly to its surroundings — embracing clean geometry, honest materiality, and spatial clarity as its guiding principles.
The design celebrates the dialogue between structure and nature. Warm timber accents, textured stone backdrops, and a restrained material palette unite to create a residence that feels both grounded and refined — a contemporary sanctuary in the heart of the city.
Vertical landscaping and generous openings dissolve the boundary between inside and out, drawing the lush urban greenery of Kotte into everyday living.
