Technical Awareness session on Corrosion Control for Sanken Overseas.

On 30th January 2026, Dockyard General Engineering Services (Pvt) Ltd conducted a Technical Awareness Session on Galvanized Steel Corrosion Protection for Sanken Overseas.

The session provided in depth insights into galvanized and steel fabrication processes, common corrosion challenges, ISO-compliant protection systems, and practical quality control procedures, including Low Voltage Holiday Detector testing and DFT & WFT gauge practices. Through this initiative, we reaffirm our commitment to delivering technical excellence and sustainable corrosion control solutions that ensure long-term durability and performance of steel structures.

On 29th January 2026, Dockyard General Engineering Services (Pvt) Ltd conducted a Technical Awareness Session on Corrosion Protection for
Litro Gas Lanka Limited.

The session delivered comprehensive technical insights into steel fabrication processes, key corrosion risks in industrial environments, internationally compliant protection systems, and hands-on quality control practices including DFT and WFT gauge applications. This engagement reflects our continuous commitment to strengthening industry knowledge, enhancing asset longevity, and delivering reliable, sustainable corrosion protection solutions across Sri Lanka.

Baladaksha Flyover reflects Sri Lanka’s engineering progress, reinforcing DGES 's expertise in heigh precision steel heavy structure fabrication. 🇱🇰

📍Project Scope & Key Details:

DGES is proud to have contributed to this nationally significant composite design steel flyover, approximately 268 meters long and 7.2 meters wide. This highly complex, double-curvature, high-tensile steel structure is located in a high-salinity coastal environment (C5 Exterior Marine). The superstructure includes 52 main girders, 80 cross beams, and 160 cantilever sections, with a total fabricated steel weight of about 980 metric tons, assembled using nearly 47,000 high-strength galvanized bolts. Despite the technical complexity involved, the project was successfully completed. DGES’s scope of work involved fabrication, pre-assembly, and painting of the steel structure, which was subsequently handed over as scheduled to Access Engineering PLC for er****on. This project marks a landmark achievement, as it is the first-ever flyover fabricated entirely by a local entity
