Start them young! Rewinding back to 2020, where we combined our love of drum n bass music with our new love, our little boy.

When we heard about we thought it was a great idea! Getting to dance to some amazing music whilst at the same time introducing our little one to the music we love.

With on the decks, it was a party to remember!

Music is everything to me. The way it moves me, shapes my lifestyle and the way it has helped me through the good and bad times has led me to believe it’s a hugely important element to have in our lives.
Hence taking moments like this to be able to share it with our kids is priceless.

This is the ideal scenario. Cloning myself. It would make what I do a lot easier!

But life isn’t easy. Pushing yourself isn’t easy. Thinking outside the box isn’t easy. Doing it alone isn’t easy.

Nothing about this is easy!

But that’s what makes it so much fun! It’s what keeps it challenging. Relentless. It keeps evolving, testing my limits, patience and my beliefs. It keeps giving me equal amounts of joy and frustration.

Because if it was easy?

It would get boring. It wouldn’t challenge me. It would run its course quickly, and not have longevity.

So here’s to the eternal grind of creativity!

Getting to truly know yourself takes way longer than expected. We each experience so many different things in life, and each have our own journeys. Some of those journeys are short lived, whilst some are life long.

For me, music has been a part of my journey since the age of 10. It’s always connected me to aspects of of the world to help me understand it better, be it car journeys which require a certain vibe depending on the destination, background music in a pub, the variety found in a clubbing environment, and even the importance of silence - on things like country walks.

Without enough experience and exposure to music, many of these things just wouldn’t make as much sense to me.

But getting to know yourself as an artist is a level up from that! There are so many other factors that start coming in to it that it can be extremely overwhelming.

But the most important thing it seems, is to be yourself. Create what you want to. Be genuine.

At least if you stay true to these things, you can forever find a reason to keep going.

And your love for it, will never die!

Plugged myself in to the matrix for a shoot! Using Jack lead cables as a prop felt kind of fitting, as music very much feels like an extension of my own self…

Sometimes life feels like we’re plugged in to the matrix, other times it feels like we need to unplug ourselves from life, in order to reach optimum creativity.

Today marks a very happy 5 years married to this one - (aka Mrs Yakkara). For all your strength and encouragement for everything I do, and most importantly in this instance, encouraging me to start this journey as a solo artist, thank you from the depths of my heart.
I’m so proud of the life we have built together, yet it’s exciting to have this feeling that this is just the beginning! I know we each have so much more to give, and the years that follow are going to be HUGE for both of us.

To anyone reading this, watch this space.

A piece of music can hold so many different emotions in it, and take you on a full journey that you never expected.

Perhaps that what my face was portraying here…

I’m a firm believer in introducing music to kids at the earliest possible age.

Music has helped me through all the highs and lows in life, and continues to do so. It’s true that in many ways, it’s a healer.

This is to when I visited my kids school and did a musical showcase, helping them realise real musicianship and see where sounds come from.

The first shot is of me and my little world, Chaya. She was more than happy to give it a try herself!

Ezra, my boy is pictured in the second slide on the left. He also seems to have a fascination in everything music. Creation and expressive wise (dance).

Life is all about these beautiful moments of sharing.

Everything starts from somewhere!

This is me at 10 years old playing a duet on piano with my elderly neighbour, Hilda.

I had recently taken up piano lessons being that I had a fascination with music for as long as I can remember.

As much as I hated those lessons, I felt a real peace with playing just for the sake of playing. Like nothing else mattered at that point in time.

That fact has stood true to this day!

Hilda also showed off her own talents of still playing effortlessly even into her later years.
