Thurstan College Past Prefects' Association has presented the Principal the document compiled on Prefects' System & Guideline which contains the Policy Framework, Roles, Duties of the Prefects' Guild. A fruitful discussion took place at College boardroom on the development of Prefects' Guild with Participation of the Principal, Deputy Principals, Vice Principals, TCPPA officials (Mr. Lanka Prasada, Mr. Suranga Kulawickrama, Mr. Aflal Izzadeen, Mr. Kasun Hemanth Fernando, Mr. Udara Dissanayake & Mr. Manesh Kalansooriya)

Thurstan College Past Prefects' Association (TCPPA) has conducted a session on Leadership and Motivation for Grade 12 Students on 21st of January 2020. The main objective of this session was to motivate the students to do more extra curricular activities while maintaining standards studies on as well. Also they have been given a valued insight on leadership and what is expected from them as A/L students. All of them were invited to apply for prefect-ship as well.

Congratulations to Mr. Arunashantha Amarasinghe (past DHP of Thurstan College) for being awarded the Integrity Icon 2019. He came 2nd on most popular competition on sms voting. He lost by close to 5,000 votes to the Principal from Mathugama School.

Mr.Arunashantha Amarasinghe is the member of the 1993 Batch and DHP of the 1993 Top Board. He represented Thurstan in the debating team. He is an OBU Council member and the present Secretary of School Development Society (SDS)
