CECB Toastmasters concluded our You + One August journey with Educational Meeting #98, held under the theme “From Me to We.”

The meeting became even more special with the presence of our Area Director, TM Ishani Fernando, and Division Director, TM Arosha Kalupahana, whose encouragement and interaction added great value to the session.

🤝 We were also delighted to welcome two guests, perfectly reflecting the spirit of You + One and the journey from individual growth to shared growth.

CECB Toastmasters Club featured a Successful Club Series presentation - “Evaluate to Motivate”, presented by TM Chachini Eromika

The session focused on how constructive evaluation can encourage improvement, build confidence, and motivate speakers to continue growing.

A valuable learning experience reminding us that evaluation is not simply about identifying areas for improvement, but about helping others move forward with confidence.

Educational Meeting #96 | “𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐀𝐫𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐖𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠” ✨

An insightful meeting filled with engaging speeches, thoughtful evaluations and meaningful learning as we explored how strong communication skills extend beyond the Toastmasters stage and into reports, research papers and professional writing. 📝💡

A special highlight of the meeting was the educational presentation “𝐄𝐯𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐌𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐞”, delivered by TM Chachini Eromika. The session reminded us that a good evaluation is not only about identifying areas for improvement, but also about encouraging speakers, recognising their strengths and helping them grow with confidence. 🎤🌱

Under the theme “𝐅𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐓𝐨𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐦𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐏𝐚𝐠𝐞,” our Toastmaster of the Day, TM Kalani Sammandapperuma, demonstrated how public speaking, evaluation and active participation can strengthen both professional writing and everyday communication.
