Malinga gets special coaching post in limited overs tournament.

Sri Lanka Cricket has hired former fast bowler Lasith Malinga as its strategic bowling coach for the ODIs and T20I series against Australia.

Malinga will assist the Sri Lankan bowlers during the tournament and will impart his strategic knowledge and technical expertise to implement strategic plans, Cricket announced.

Sri Lanka Cricket believes that Malinga's strategic knowledge of passing the last few overs of the T20 format will be invaluable to Sri Lankan bowlers in such an important tournament.

Malinga also coached the Sri Lankan bowling strategy during a tour of Australia in February for a five-match T20I series.
