We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of the Founder of Ravi Jewellers, Colombo – the late Mr. Rengarajan.

Mr. Rengarajan was a remarkable individual whose continuous support played a vital role in uplifting the educational standards of students in the Hill Country. His commitment to empowering communities through education has left a lasting impact on countless families.

Ravi Jewellers, under his guidance, has always been a key contributor to the OBDA Rattota Education Projects. Since the formation of OBDA in 2017, Mr. Rengarajan and Ravi Jewellers have been instrumental in supporting and strengthening our initiatives.

On behalf of Team OBDA, we extend our deepest condolences to his family and the entire team at Ravi Jewellers.
May his soul rest in peace.

மலையக மாணவர்களின் கல்வி முன்னேற்றத்திற்கும் அவர்களின் வாழ்வாதார உயர்விற்கும் அவர் வழங்கிய தொடர்ந்த ஆதரவும் அர்ப்பணிப்பும் அபாரமானது. 2017 ஆம் ஆண்டு OBDA நிறுவப்பட்டதிலிருந்து, திரு. ரெங்கராஜன் மற்றும் ரவி ஜுவல்லர்ஸ் எங்கள் கல்வித் திட்டங்களுக்கு முக்கிய தூணாக இருந்து வந்துள்ளனர்.

As part of the ongoing physical development project at Rattota Hindu Maha Vidyalayam, our OBDA team contributed a cheque valued at Rs. 270,000 for the installation of an iron entrance gate.

The cheque was officially handed over today, in the presence of several team members, to the PPA Joint Secretary and other committee members, at the site where the development work is being carried out.

புதிய பாடத்திட்டம் மற்றும் GPA முறைமை – விரிவான வழிகாட்டல்

2026 ஆம் ஆண்டு முதல் அமுலாகவுள்ள க.பொ.ச. சாதாரண தர பரீட்சையின் புதிய பாட அமைப்பையும், GPA (Grade Point Average) மதிப்பீட்டு முறையையும் பற்றிய முழுமையான தகவல்கள் இங்கே வழங்கப்படுகின்றன.

இந்த மாற்றங்கள் மாணவர்களின் கல்விப் சுமையை குறைத்து, ஆழமான கற்றலுக்கு வழிவகுத்து, சர்வதேச தரங்களுக்கு ஏற்ற வகையில் அவர்கள் திறன்களை மதிப்பீடு செய்யும் வாய்ப்பை ஏற்படுத்தும்.

🔹 புதிய பாடத்திட்டம்: மொத்தம் 7 பாடங்கள்

புதிய முறையில், மாணவர்கள் 10 பாடங்கள் கற்க வேண்டிய பழைய முறையைவிட, இப்போது 7 பாடங்கள் மட்டும் கற்க வேண்டியுள்ளது. இது மாணவர்களின் பாடங்களிற்கான பளுவை குறைத்து, ஆழமான கற்றலுக்கு வாய்ப்பு வழங்குவதாகும்.

✅ கட்டாய Subjects – 5:

இவை அனைத்து மாணவர்களும் கற்கவேண்டியபாடங்கள்:

1. தாய்மொழி – தமிழ், සිංහල அல்லது ஏதேனும் அங்கீகரிக்கப்பட்ட தாய்மொழி (Credits: 3)

2. English – Communication skills, Reading, Writing, Speaking (Credits: 3)

3. Mathematics – Concepts, Problem solving, Logical thinking (Credits: 3)

4. Science – Physics, Chemistry, Biology உள்ளடக்கிய General Science (Credits: 3)

5. Religion – Buddhism, Hinduism, Islam, Christianity (Credits: 2)

🔸 மொத்த கட்டாய Subjects இற்கான Credits: 14

✅ தேர்ந்தெடுக்கக்கூடிய Subjects – 2:

மாணவர்கள் தங்கள் ஆர்வமும் எதிர்கால இலக்குகளையும் பொருத்து, பின்வரும் களங்களில் இருந்து 2 Subjects தேர்வு செய்யலாம். ஒவ்வொன்றுக்கும் Credits: 2.

➡️ இந்த 7 Subjects அமைப்பில், மாணவர்கள் பல வகையான பாடங்களில் சிதறி இல்லாமல், தங்களுக்குப் பயனுள்ள துறைகளில் ஆழமாக கவனம் செலுத்த முடியும்.

🔹 GPA (Grade Point Average) முறைமை:

பழைய A, B, C, S, F எனப்படும் Letter Grade முறைக்கு பதிலாக, GPA முறை அமலுக்கு வருகிறது. GPA என்பது மாணவர்கள் பெற்றுள்ள ஒட்டுமொத்த மதிப்பெண் நிலையை இலக்க முறையில் (Numerical Form) காட்டும் முறை.

இது சர்வதேச ரீதியாக அங்கீகரிக்கப்பட்ட முறைமை ஆகும், மேலும் மாணவர்களின் முழுமையான கல்வி செயல்திறனை துல்லியமாக பிரதிபலிக்க உதவும்.

✅ GPA மதிப்பீட்டின் தர விகிதங்கள் உதாரணமாக):

👉 இந்த Grade Point values Education Ministry வழியாக அதிகாரப்பூர்வமாக வெளியிடப்படும் வரை இவை மாதிரிப் பட்டியல் மட்டுமே.

✅ GPA கணக்கீட்டு முறை:

மாணவர் ஒருவர் 7 Subjects கற்கின்றார் என எடுத்துக்கொள்வோம். அவர் பெற்றுள்ள Grade Points பின்வருமாறு:

Mathematics: 3.7

English: 3.3

Mother Tongue: 4.0

Religion: 3.7

Science: 3.0

Optional Subject 1: 3.5

Optional Subject 2: 3.2

📌 Total Grade Points = 3.7 + 3.3 + 4.0 + 3.7 + 3.0 + 3.5 + 3.2 = 24.4

📌 Final GPA = 24.4 / 7 = 3.48

இதன்படி, மாணவரின் Final GPA = 3.48 ஆகும்.

🔹 GPA முறைமையின் நன்மைகள்:

✅ துல்லியமான மதிப்பீடு: GPA system மாணவர்களின் ஒட்டுமொத்த திறனை துல்லியமாக பிரதிபலிக்கிறது

✅ குறைந்த மன அழுத்தம்: ஒரு Subject இல் குறைந்த மதிப்பெண் பெற்றாலும், மொத்த GPA அதிகமாக இருக்கலாம்

✅ International Recognition: உலக பல்கலைக்கழகங்களில் GPA முறை ஏற்கப்படுகிறது

✅ A/L Stream தெரிவில் உதவுகின்றது: திறன்கள் மற்றும் ஆர்வங்களை GPA மூலம் தெளிவாக அறிய முடியும்

✅ Relative Assessment: மாணவர்களிடையே ஒப்பீட்டு மதிப்பீடு செய்வது சாத்தியம்

🔹 சவால்கள் மற்றும் முக்கிய கவனத்துக்குரிய அம்சங்கள்:

📌 Awareness: GPA முறைமை பற்றி மாணவர்களும், பெற்றோர்களும், ஆசிரியர்களும் சரியான விளக்கங்களைப் பெற வேண்டும்

📌 Minimum GPA for Pass: ஒருவரை Pass ஆகக் கருத தேவையான GPA மற்றும் ஒவ்வொரு Subject இல் Pass குறியீடு தெளிவாக இருக்க வேண்டும்

📌 Transparency: GPA கணக்கீட்டு முறை மற்றும் Grade Point Conversion பற்றிய நெறிமுறைகள் வெளிப்படையாக இருக்க வேண்டும்

இந்த புதிய மாற்றங்கள் இலங்கையின் கல்வி முறைமைக்குள் விசேஷமான மாற்றத்தை உருவாக்கும். அதன் வெற்றி, சரியான திட்டமிடல், செயல் திட்டம், மற்றும் சம்பந்தப்பட்ட அனைத்து தரப்புகளின் ஒத்துழைப்பு ஆகியவற்றின் மீது தழுவியுள்ளது.
