Good news for Pacific visitors - it will soon be easier for Pacific visitors to travel to New Zealand from Australia!

From 3 November, people from Pacific Islands Forum countries will be able to travel to New Zealand from Australia with a New Zealand Electronic Travel Authority (NZeTA), rather than applying for a visa. To be eligible you must:

🌏 Be travelling to New Zealand from Australia
🛂 Hold a valid eligible Australian visa at the time of check-in for your flight to New Zealand

The government is introducing Digital ID.

This will help to combat illegal working while making it easier for people to use vital government services.

There will be no requirement for individuals to carry their ID or be asked to produce it – but digital ID will be mandatory as a means of proving your Right to Work.

This will stop those with no right to be here from being able to find work, curbing their prospect of earning money, one of the key pull factors for people who come to the UK illegally.
