බලශක්තිය අරපිරිමැස්මෙන් පරිහරණය කිරීමට ජනතාව දිරිගැන්වීමේ අරමුණින් නිර්මාණය වූ "සුරකිමු ලංකා" ජාතික වැඩසටහන ආරම්භ කරන අතර එය අද (29) නිල වශයෙන් එළිදැක්වේ.
බලශක්ති ප්‍රභවයන් ප්‍රවේශම්කාරී ලෙස ආරක්ෂා කරගන්නා ප්‍රජාවක් බිහි කිරීම මෙහි මූලික අරමුණවේ.

ඒ අනුව මෙම වැඩසටහන අද සිට ඉදිරි මාස පහක කාලයක් පුරා ක්‍රියාත්මක වීමට නියමිතය.
"පොහොසත් රටක් - ලස්සන ජීවිතයක්" යන දැක්ම පෙරදැරිව ක්‍රියාත්මක වන Clean Sri Lanka වැඩසටහන යටතේ "සුරකිමු ලංකා - එකතු වෙමු - එළිය දෙමු" යන තේමාවෙන් මෙම වැඩසටහන ක්‍රියාත්මක වේ.
මේ සඳහා රාජ්‍ය හා අර්ධ රාජ්‍ය ආයතන මෙන්ම පෞද්ගලික අංශය, සිවිල් සමාජය සහ සමස්ත මහජනතාවගේ සහභාගීත්වය අපේක්ෂා කෙරේ.
විදුලිය වැඩි වශයෙන් පාවිච්චි කරන පස්වරු 6.00 සිට රාත්‍රී 10.00 දක්වා වූ උපරිම පාරිභෝජන කාලසීමාව (Peak Hours) තුළ විදුලිය භාවිතය සීමා කිරීමට හෝ අධික විදුලිය වැයවන කාර්යයන් හැකිතාක් දුරට දිවා කාලයේදී සිදුකිරීමට ජනතාව පෙළඹවීම "සුරකිමු ලංකා" වැඩසටහන යටතේ සිදු කෙරෙනු ඇත.
මෙම වැඩසටහන මගින් විදුලි පරිභෝජනය සඳහා කිසිදු තහංචියක් පැනවීමට අදහස් නොකෙර්. එහෙත් විදුලි උත්පාදනයෙන් වැඩි ප්‍රමාණයක් ජලාශ්‍රිතව සිදුවන බැවින් ඉදිරියේදී ජල පරිභෝජනය ද ඉතා අරපිරිමැස්මෙන් සිදුකළ යුතු බවද මෙමගින් අවධාරණය කරනු ලැබේ.
ඒ සඳහා බලශක්තිය අරපිරිමැස්මෙන් භාවිත කිරීම පිළිබඳව ජනතාව තුළ ආකල්පමය වෙනසක් ඇති කරමින් ඔවුන්ව ස්වේච්ඡාවෙන්ම දිරිගැන්වීම පමණක් මෙම වැඩසටහන මගින් අපේක්ෂා කරයි.

வலு சக்தியை சிக்கனமாகப் பயன்படுத்துவதற்கு மக்களை ஊக்குவிக்கும் நோக்கில் உருவாக்கப்பட்ட "இலங்கையைக் காப்போம் " தேசிய வேலைத்திட்டம் இன்று (29) உத்தியோகபூர்வமாக ஆரம்பித்து வைக்கப்படுகிறது.
வலுசக்தி வளங்களை மிகவும் அவதானத்துடன் பாதுகாக்கும் ஒரு சமூகத்தை உருவாக்குவதே இதன் பிரதான நோக்கமாகும்.
மத்திய கிழக்கு பிராந்தியத்தில் நிலவும் போர்ச் சூழல் காரணமாக நாட்டின் வலுசக்தி மற்றும் எரிபொருள் விநியோகத்திற்கு ஏற்படக்கூடிய தடைகள், அத்துடன் எதிர்காலத்தில் ஏற்படக்கூடிய "எல்-நினோ" வானிலை மாற்றங்கள் குறித்த முன்னறிவிப்புகளைக் கருத்திற்கொண்டு அரசாங்கம் இந்த வேலைத்திட்டத்தை நடைமுறைப்படுத்துகிறது.
அரச வளங்களை மிகவும் சிக்கனமாகவும் வெளிப்படைத்தன்மையுடனும் பயன்படுத்த வேண்டியதன் அவசியத்தை அரசாங்கம் சுட்டிக்காட்டுவதுடன், தேசிய வலுசக்திப் பாதுகாப்பிற்காகப் பொதுமக்களை நேரடியாகப் பங்களிக்கச் செய்வதே இதன் முக்கிய எதிர்பார்ப்பாகும்.
இதற்கமைய, இந்த வேலைத்திட்டம் இன்று முதல் அடுத்த ஐந்து மாத காலத்திற்கு நடைமுறைப்படுத்தப்படவுள்ளது.
"வளமான நாடு - அழகான வாழ்க்கை" என்ற தொலைநோக்கின் கீழ் முன்னெடுக்கப்படும் Clean Sri Lanka திட்டத்தின் ஒரு அங்கமாக, "இலங்கையைக் காப்போம் - ஒன்றிணைவோம் - ஒளியேற்றுவோம்" எனும் தொனிப்பொருளில் இது செயற்படுத்தப்படுகிறது.
இதற்காக அரச மற்றும் அரை அரச நிறுவனங்கள், தனியார் துறை, சிவில் சமூகம் மற்றும் ஒட்டுமொத்தப் பொதுமக்களின் ஒத்துழைப்பு எதிர்பார்க்கப்படுகிறது.
மின்சாரப் பயன்பாடு அதிகமாக இருக்கும் மாலை 6.00 மணி முதல் இரவு 10.00 மணி வரையிலான அதிக பயன்பாட்டு நேரத்தில் (Peak Hours) மின்சாரப் பயன்பாட்டைக் கட்டுப்படுத்துதல் அல்லது
அதிக மின்சாரம் தேவைப்படும் வேலைகளை முடிந்தவரை பகல் நேரங்களில் செய்வதற்கு மக்களை ஊக்குவித்தல் ‘’இலங்கையைக் காப்போம் ‘’ திட்டத்தின் ஊடாக நடவடிக்கைகள் மேற்கொள்ளப்படுகிறது.
இந்த வேலைத்திட்டத்தின் மூலம் மின்சாரப் பயன்பாட்டிற்கு எந்தவிதக் கட்டுப்பாடுகளையும் விதிக்க அரசாங்கம் உத்தேசிக்கவில்லை. எனினும், நாட்டின் மின் உற்பத்தியில் பெரும்பகுதி நீர்மின்சாரம் மூலம் கிடைப்பதால், வருங்காலத்தில் நீரைப் பயன்படுத்துவதிலும் மிகுந்த சிக்கனம் தேவை என்பதை இது வலியுறுத்துகிறது.
வலுசக்திப் பயன்பாடு குறித்து மக்களிடையே ஒரு மனப்பாங்கு மாற்றத்தை ஏற்படுத்தி, அவர்களைத் தானாக முன்வந்து ஒத்துழைக்கச் செய்வதே இந்த வேலைத்திட்டத்தின் நோக்கமாகும்.
“Surakimu Lanka” national programme for energy security launched today
The national programme titled “Surakimu Lanka”, designed to encourage the public to use energy sparingly, was officially launched today (29).
Its primary objective is to foster a community that carefully conserves energy resources.
The Government is implementing this programme, considering potential disruptions to the country’s energy and fuel supply due to the prevailing war situation in the Middle East. It also considers forecasts of possible El Niño weather conditions in the future.
The Government emphasises the urgent need to utilise state resources with maximum efficiency and transparency and a key expectation of the programme is to directly involve the public in ensuring national energy security.
Accordingly, the programme is scheduled to be carried out over a period of five months starting from today.
Implemented under the “Clean Sri Lanka” initiative, which is guided by the vision “A Thriving Nation – a beautiful life”, the programme will operate under the theme “Surakimu Lanka – Let’s unite – Let’s Shine Bright”.
Participation is expected from state and semi-government institutions, as well as the private sector, civil society and the general public.
Under the programme, efforts will be made to encourage the public to limit electricity usage during peak hours, from 6.00 p.m. to 10.00 p.m., or to carry out high-energy-consuming activities during daytime as much as possible.
The programme does not intend to impose any restrictions on electricity consumption. However, as a significant portion of electricity generation is hydropower-based, it also stresses the need for careful water usage in the future.
The programme primarily aims to bring about a change in public attitudes towards energy conservation and to encourage voluntary participation in using energy efficiently.

ලංකාවේ වනාන්තර පද්ධතිය ආරක්ෂා කරමින් මතු පරපුර වෙනුවෙන් හුස්ම රකින්නට නව රජයේ පරිසර අමාත්‍යාංශය විසින් සිදු කෙරෙන ජාතික වැඩසටහන වනස්පති වැඩසටහනයි.
වනස්පති ජාතික වැඩපිළිවල ලංකාවේ දෙවැනි විශාලතම වනාන්තරය වන නිල්ගලට ලැබුණු ආරක්ෂාව තවත් වනාන්තර 50 කට ලබා දී ඇත.ඒ අනුව ජගත් වනාන්තර දිනයට සමගාමීව වනාන්තර හෙක්ටයාර 12,989.73 රක්ෂිත බවට පත් කිරීමට නියමිතය.
