Douvan Ansanm – Nourishing our people, strengthening our nation.

Since we cut the Gordian knot on 22 February 1979, Saint Lucia has made real progress. Our sons and daughters have reached the highest levels of global achievement, from Olympic podiums to Nobel recognition. At home, progress has been steady, even if incremental.

Yet the work is far from done. Our path forward is clear: we must move ahead together, as one people.

I am deeply saddened by the passing of Ms. Lissa Joseph, a remarkable woman I was honoured to call a friend. To say that Lissa was one of the best among us would be an understatement. Saint Lucia has lost a consummate professional and a leader at the pinnacle of her field. Her legacy of excellence, integrity and service will not be forgotten. She will be deeply missed.

I extend my heartfelt condolences to her family, friends and all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.

HAPPY NATIONAL DAY
For many of us, National Day marks the start of the festive season. But it also means much more. It is rooted in faith and in the rich culture that defines who we are. Our identity was shaped through challenge and hardship, and from that we have grown into a strong and resilient people. Today, we celebrate where we have come from, while looking ahead with hope to a brighter future. A future we can build together, one that reflects our shared dreams. Let us honour our heritage, remember the struggles of those before us and move forward with purpose as one people, united by a common destiny.

Castries North, thank you! I put myself up to serve this great community and even though it was not the outcome i hoped for I am happy for the journey. I cherish all of you that I met along the way, I appreciate all the encouragement and support you gave to me. Congrats to Stephenson King, this was a well fought campaign and I wish you all the best and the best for the constituency that we love!
