في إطار إحياء اليوم العالمي للمريض وتحت عنوان
«ألمٌ مسموع… أملٌ مرفوع»،
كان للدكتورة كليمانس متّى الياس، أخصائية أمراض الدم والأورام، مشاركة مميّزة ومؤثرة ضمن سلسلة المواضيع في اللقاء الروحي-الطبي الذي نظمته اللجنة الطبية في ابرشية البترون المارونية في كنيسة مار اسطفان في بلدة تحوم وذلك يوم السبت ٧ شباط ٢٠٢٦.

تحدّثت الدكتورة متى عن الألم عند المرضى، مؤكدة أن العلاج الحقيقي لا يقتصر على تسكين الألم الجسدي فحسب، بل يبدأ بـ الاستماع العميق للمريض، وفهم معاناته النفسية وقلقه الوجودي، والاعتراف بألمه الإنساني بكل أبعاده.

وشدّدت على أن معالجة كافة أنواع الألم الجسدي والنفسي والوجودي تشكّل جزءًا أساسيًا لا يتجزأ من العلاج الطبي، وأن الطب يفقد جوهره إن غابت عنه روح الإنسانية، التعاطف، والحضور الصادق إلى جانب المريض.

مداخلة جسّدت المعنى الحقيقي للطب:
علمٌ يُعالج… وقلبٌ يُصغي… ورسالة إنسانية تُرافق المريض في رحلته. 🤍

Dr. Clemence Matta Elias took part as a moderator in the U-care Congress at USEK with the collaboration of NDH , held on Saturday, November 1 , 2025, focusing on the latest advances in urological diseases.

The congress highlighted also the importance of early detection of prostate cancer, especially during Prostate Cancer Awareness Month;
🔹 Men over 50 should discuss screening with their doctor.
🔹 Those with a family history or higher risk (African or Middle Eastern ancestry) should start screening at age 40–45.
🔹 Regular PSA blood tests and digital re**al exams (DRE) are essential for early diagnosis.
🔹 Maintain a healthy lifestyle — balanced diet, exercise, and avoiding smoking — to reduce risk.
