WHITE WINE SUMMER SANGRIA SPRITZER

Why should you have to choose between a sangria or a spritzer?

I say you shouldn't have to, because you can have your sangria and your spritzer, and drink it too! Just combing a fruity sangria with a little fizz, makes a wonderful summer beverage that barely takes any time at all.

Ingredients:
makes 4-6 drinks

1 bottle of your favorite dry white wine, cold (I used Sauvignon Blanc)
2 medium sized organic peaches, peeled
1/2 cup pitted cherries, cut into pieces
1 shot Citroen or lemon flavored vodka
12 oz natural lemon-lime soda, cold

Tequila Sangria

In desired drinking glass, add the pineapples, oranges, blackberries, and lime wedges. Cook's Note: If you dont like the fruits suggested here feel free to use whichever fruits you desire.

Next add the tequila, elderflower-flavored liqueur, simple syrup, pineapple juice, and orange juice. Add ice to glass and stir to mix ingredients. Top glass with red wine and enjoy.

Cheers!

Stoli Noir

Cool, refreshing, fruity but not cloyingly sweet. This was just right to sip outside while cooking a light grilled dinner of shrimp with mango salsa. An equally good pairing would be steak with grilled pineapple.

Ingredients:

3 fresh blackberries
1 rosemary sprig
1/2 oz. agave nectar
3/4 oz. fresh lime juice
2 oz. blackberry vodka
garnish: lemon twist

Peach & Ginger Bourbon Iced Tea

Jugs of iced tea can be rather fantastic when the lazy heat settles in. You can keep it alcohol free or add a little bourbon if planning a cocktail party. We used peach ice tea, added a little ginger, freshly squeezed lemon and Bourbon to create this chic tipple.
