We are honored to share that FEMALE was awarded First Place and named the 2026 Laureate of the Ghazal Foundation and Fondation de France Peace & Conflict Prevention Prize under this year’s theme, “Peace at Home.”

The award was received during a ceremony organized by the Ghazal Foundation at USJ, where FEMALE was represented by board members Roua Dandachi and Veronica Akoury, who received the prize on behalf of the organization.

This recognition celebrates years of work supporting survivors of gender-based violence, advancing access to justice, advocating for stronger protections for women and girls, and challenging the systems that allow violence to persist.

As Roua Dandachi shared on behalf of FEMALE, this award belongs to every survivor who trusted us with her story, every woman whose voice we amplify, and every member of our team and community who works tirelessly to advance feminist justice and build safer futures.

يسعدنا أن نعلن عن فوز منظمة FEMALE بالمركز الأول واختيارها فائزة بجائزة الوقاية من النزاعات وبناء السلام لعام 2026، المقدّمة من مؤسسة غزال ومؤسسة فرنسا، ضمن محور هذا العام: “السلام في المنزل”.

تسلّمت FEMALE الجائزة خلال حفل نظمته مؤسسة غزال في جامعة القديس يوسف، حيث مثّلت المنظمة عضوتا مجلس الإدارة رؤى دندشي وفيرونيكا عاقوري، وتسلّمتا الجائزة باسم المنظمة.
يأتي هذا التكريم تقديرًا لسنوات من العمل في دعم الناجيات من العنف القائم على النوع الاجتماعي، وتعزيز الوصول إلى العدالة، والمناصرة من أجل حماية أقوى للنساء والفتيات، ومواجهة البنى والأنظمة التي تسمح باستمرار العنف.

وكما عبّرت رؤى دندشي باسم FEMALE، فإن هذه الجائزة هي لكل ناجية وضعت ثقتها بنا، ولكل امرأة نعمل على إيصال صوتها، ولكل فرد من فريقنا وشبكتنا ومجتمعنا يواصل النضال من أجل العدالة النسوية وبناء مجتمعات أكثر أمانًا وإنصافًا.

في ظل استمرار النزوح، تواصل منظمة فيمايل دعم النساء والفتيات في مراكز الإيواء والمجتمعات المتضررة، من خلال توفير مستلزمات النظافة الأساسية، وجلسات التوعية والحماية، وخدمات إدارة الحالات عبر خط الدعم: 81111456.

خلال الأزمات والحروب، تصبح إدارة الدورة الشهرية والوصول إلى مستلزمات النظافة تحدياً يومياً للنساء والفتيات، خاصة في أماكن النزوح المكتظة ومراكز الإيواء.

تسعى هذه الاستجابة إلى تعزيز الوصول إلى الدعم والحماية والخدمات الأساسية للنساء والفتيات، في ظل تزايد المخاطر التي تواجههن خلال النزوح.

Despite ongoing displacement, FEMALE continues to support women and girls in shelters and affected communities through the provision of essential hygiene kits, protection and awareness sessions, and case management services through our support helpline: 81111456.

During crises and war, menstrual hygiene management and access to basic hygiene supplies become daily challenges for women and girls, particularly in overcrowded shelters and displacement settings.

This response aims to strengthen access to support, protection, and essential services for women and girls amid the increased risks they face during displacement.

تنفيذ الاستجابة الطارئة في الشوف، عاليه، شمال لبنان، بيروت وصيدا،
من خلال توزيع المساعدات الأساسية، بما في ذلك مستلزمات النظافة، السلال الغذائية، الفرش، وحقائب الاستجابة السريعة،
إضافة إلى تقديم جلسات الدعم النفسي والاجتماعي.
كما توفّر فيمايل خدمات إدارة الحالات للنساء و الفتيات الناجيات من العنف القائم على النوع الاجتماعي، في ظل تزايد المخاطر عليهن خلال الأزمات،

Despite the ceasefire,
many families, women, and girls remain displaced,
living in schools, shelters, and on the streets.
FEMALE, alongside its teams and volunteers,
continues to implement its emergency response across Chouf, Aley, North Lebanon, Beirut, and Saida,
through the distribution of essential assistance, including hygiene kits, food parcels, mattresses, and rapid response kits,
as well as the provision of psychosocial support sessions.
FEMALE also provides case management services for women and girls survivors of gender-based violence, especially in light of the increased risks they face during crisis.
