Last week, a friend and a fellow restaurateur asked me to share how I was feeling about the
future of the hospitality industry and the future of our businesses.
Truth be told, I have felt all sorts of emotions, all throughout this journey really, especially in these last 6 months

It is no secret that this pandemic has hit our industry very hard, as well as every other
industry around the world. However, our biggest enemy is the financial crisis that we are
facing right now, we, as an industry and we, as a population.

I had faith in my country, a country I chose to call home, a country who I thought was worth
fighting for. A country who isn’t in complete alliance with my beliefs, but one where beauty
lies even in its little mud puddles.🧚🏼‍♀️

I had faith that truths, hopes and dreams will overcome corruption, lies and sad realities.
Unfortunately, this hasn’t been the case, yet.
No, this doesn’t mean that I have lost complete hope, I still see a light at the end of the tunnel,
naturally. However, this tunnel is long, and I have had to take a very hard decision

So, without further ado, it is with a heavy heart that I have decided to end the Beirut
Coconoix Chapter for now 🖤

We will be silent for a while, until we figure out our next step, and until this country regains
some sanity.

Despite all the craziness and the disappointments, we could have never have done it without you, without your love and support. ♥️
You, our beloved community.
You, our customers and clients, who we have had the honor to call family.
You, who have supported us throughout this journey, yes you, every single one of you that
has walked through our doors, every single one of you who we have had conversations with,
and shared stories 💛
We are extremely grateful that we had the privilege to serve you and connect through food and chit-chats 💜

We are incredibly proud of the team we’ve built, every moment we’ve created, every
memory, every bite of goodness, every positive feedback and every constructive one as
well ❣️
