The Corinth canal is a Greek landmark, a tourist attraction and one the largest construction projects in the country. It was conceived to address the need of a shorter and safer access from the Aegean to the Ionian Sea, facilitating maritime transportation and commerce, with efforts starting already in 602 B.C. and final completion in 1893. The presentation describes its story through a project management lens. We'll examine the factors that impacted the project and will look into lessons learnt and benefits realization.

How to deal with unprecedented events
An initiative by the PMI Lebanon Chapter has brought together a dedicated group of volunteers to provide critical support to displaced families affected by the recent aggression. In a powerful demonstration of solidarity, these volunteers joined efforts to prepare and distribute food platters to those in urgent need. This initiative reflects the PMI Lebanon Chapterโs commitment to applying project management skills to make a meaningful difference during times of crisis.
By leveraging their collective expertise and resources, the chapterโs volunteers aimed to ease the burdens faced by displaced individuals, offering not only essential nourishment but also compassion and hope. The success of this initiative is a testament to the chapterโs dedication to using project management as a tool for humanitarian relief, and the impact it has had is a source of pride for all involved.
This effort underscores the PMI Lebanon Chapterโs ongoing mission to support vulnerable communities, and we encourage everyone to continue contributing to similar causes, standing together in support of those affected by these challenging circumstances.
