Our contribution to lighting design and consultancy centered on using light as an architectural force. One that articulates form, guides experience, and gives the project its character after dark.

Every lighting decision was developed as part of a cohesive spatial language, carefully calibrated from the larger intent down to the details.

We’re honored to have been part of this collaboration and proud that the project received the Design Awards 2025 – Middle East.

AWAKENING

Cyclamen unfolds as a play of transparency, reflection, and shifting light. Its layered glass elements refract illumination into delicate, ever-changing atmospheres that echo the Mediterranean spirit of Syracuse. Resting atop rubble, the installation heightens its own fragility, glass poised on what is solid, ruin meeting refinement.

In this contrast, the work becomes an awakening of material and memory, where vulnerability gains its quiet strength.

RESONANCE

On the fourth floor, Resonance unfolds through SPREAD’s Much Peace, Love and Joy. A vibrant field of colour, light, and playful geometry. The installation radiates an almost tangible optimism, bathing the space in shifting hues that invite pause and uplift the senses.

In its gentle rhythms, it offers a moment of harmony, reminding visitors of the quiet power of shared hope and human connection.

BRIDGE

On the third floor, the installation holds a quiet moment of pause, where the familiar becomes memory.

Moataz Nasr’s Petro Beads inhabits this threshold. A string of orange gas canisters perforated with delicate patterns and lit from within. This installation recalls the form of prayer beads, casting intricate motifs across the space. The glow traces a quiet equilibrium, where each element settles into place.

AMBER SUN

At the heart of the exhibition on the Second Floor, the Union model rises at the centre of the space. Surrounding it, archival images echo the building’s past and present.

Suspended above, a solar eclipse of artificial light encircles the model, casting the space into a moment of cosmic stillness. Shadow and radiance meet, echoing the city’s persistent tension between loss and renewal.

The installation becomes both testimony and prophecy. Union at the centre, Beirut unfolding around it.

SHAFTS.

A gentle pulse travels through the heart of Union. The shafts binding the building together begin to breathe with light, opening outward and drawing inward again.

As the glow expands and recedes, the architecture seems to exhale its past and inhale its present, alive for a brief moment in time.

STRATA

Metal plates align and dissolve at eye level, revealing only the red essence within. The core acts as both structure and source, illuminating the plates and casting rhythmic shadows.

Where geometry meets perception, Strata reveals its hidden architecture.
