Mirna Shbaro was born in Beirut, Lebanon. She obtained a degree in Communication Arts from the Lebanese American University in Beirut. She has worked in the production field since her graduation 1997. Villages and Habits is documentary series of 30 episodes, 26 minutes each.
The series, broadcasted during the holy month of Ramadan 2016 on Al Araby TV, sheds light on the habits that the remote villages in the Arab countries, Turkey and Malaysia live, especially in Ramadan. In each episode, we got to meet and spend a whole day with a different family.
Lebanon, Palestine, Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia, Mauritania, Iraq, Turkey and Malaysia, were countries we visited to experience all the traditions that the villagers live from sunrise till sunset, learn about their traditional dishes, their customs and their habits.
This series got us introduced to the simple life that these modest people live all year long, stressing on all their routines that we didn't know still existed.
