Located in Dayshounieh, a 15-minute drive from Beirut, we are part of an environmentally protected area surrounded by pine trees, mountains, and rivers; a perfect setting for our special students. We at Step Togeher (FiSTA) believe it is the ideal place to implement our educational methods that are based on the Waldrof Curriculum of Education. In our community, we follow Rudolf Steiner’s principle
A shared journey between Step Together, Lebanon and SEKEM, Egypt advancing inclusive, supportive education and social development. Rooted in a common purpose, this training came alive through art, movement, and reflection, nurturing human connection, mutual learning, and lasting transformation.

Meet Leo, the newest member of our community. He has already found a special place in the hearts of our students, who are caring for him with tenderness, joy, and a growing sense of responsibility. Caring for Leo supports the development of social skills and shared responsibility. Through daily routines of feeding, grooming, and attentive care, our students learn to be mindful of the needs of another living being, while growing in confidence, connection, and a sense of meaningful contribution.

In times of crisis, art becomes more than creation, it becomes a refuge. Through art therapy, our adult students are offered a safe space to express, process, and heal beyond words 🎨🤍🌿✨

Step Together and SEKEM proudly marked the completion of a three-year training program in Inclusive Supportive Education and Social Development, a journey of deep learning, collaboration, and shared purpose. Module 5 of Year III, the final module, invited participants to engage profoundly with the Four Temperaments with Dr. Rim Mouawad and Ms. Abeer Hammoud, alongside a Comprehensive Assessment and Individualized Support course led by Ms. Sandra Rouhana. The module concluded with a celebratory ceremony honoring the participants’ dedication and commitment over the past three years, as they received their certificates of competency. More than a completion, this moment represents a seed planted for sustainable future work between Step Together and SEKEM, two communities united by shared values and a common vision for inclusive, human-centered education.

As part of the “Together We Respond” initiative, we come together to prepare and distribute hot meals to displaced families in public schools. In these moments, the spirit of togetherness becomes our strength, reminding us that even in the hardest times, we stand united through compassion, care, and humanity.

Today, more than ever, our students need our presence. Our campus remains open to offer a safe and caring space where students are welcomed with warmth, understanding, and calm. In moments of uncertainty, being together in a familiar environment helps restore a sense of safety and normalcy. As we gather, our focus gently shifts toward supporting their emotional well-being. Through healing activities and meaningful moments of listening and connection, we aim to provide the psychosocial support our students need to feel reassured, supported, and hopeful.🤍🌿
