Bespoke Wedding Dresses - Amir Al Kasm
Alumni Amir Al Kasm created Yasmina Yehia’s wedding dress and a bespoke evening look for the mother of the bride.
For ‘s dress, Amir transformed and reimagined her mother’s original wedding gown, carefully deconstructing and reshaping it into a new silhouette while preserving as much of the original fabric as possible and seamlessly integrating new material. He meticulously continued the original embroidery by hand, matching the threadwork and beadwork techniques to honour every detail, while introducing contemporary interventions, such as soft ruching through the bust, to add texture, structure, and a renewed silhouette.
For her mother’s evening look, Amir designed a custom dress inspired by jasmine flowers, a nod to Yasmina’s name, featuring delicate hand-beaded embroidery with gold leaves and silver blossoms. A soft, fluid silhouette, layered fabrics, and a draped lace back added elegance and movement.

Le Salon Vol. 8 x Liza Beirut

curates a series of events that bring together diverse cultural actors through shared experiences. This edition was dedicated to celebrating process, experimentation, and everything that happens before a piece is complete.
For CSB students Miled Chahla, Salem Sleiman, and Ahmad El Hage, it was an opportunity to share the thinking, making, testing, and refining behind their creations.
A valuable chance to open up their creative process, present their practice in dialogue with a wider artistic community, and offer a glimpse into the research, experimentation, and development that shape their work at CSB.

Developed in collaboration with , this pouch, designed to carry makeup and everyday essentials, brings together their ethos of self-care and intentional living with Creative Space Beirut’s mission of social responsibility through design. The pouch was designed and produced under the leadership of CSB alumna , alongside her team and in collaboration with Phenomenal Women, a social enterprise that links women living in difficult situations and survivors of gender- based violence to better opportunities.

Beirut Street Culture - Bus Tour and Design Research 🚌

On a rainy Saturday in February, our first year students hopped on a guided bus tour across Beirut to learn from the city itself - spotting hidden gems of inspiration and the small, beautiful details most people pass by without noticing. The tour was led by , an Art Director and designer known for her vibrant use of regional popular culture,
Wandering through historic neighborhoods and everyday corners full of character, the students explored Beirut’s layered street culture and visual language up close. From sweet shops, book shops, and beauty salons to storefronts frozen in the 50s and 60s, they took in hand-painted signage, bold typography, window graphics, packaging, patterns, and all the wonderfully informal branding that gives the city its distinctive flair.
The focus was on living the research: tasting, observing, experiencing, and talking about what we see. A reminder that inspiration is everywhere, sometimes you just have to slow down and look a little closer.

The tour was followed by two studio sessions where students translated what they discovered into design ideas, developing personal concepts inspired by local street culture and refining them into thoughtful, confident directions.

✂️CSB JURY DAYS: At the end of January, marking the close of the first semester, our first, second, and third-year students presented their work to review panels composed of CSB community. The panels included instructors and alumni who are deeply familiar with the students’ work and development: , , , .g , , , , , and
Jury days are meaningful moments for the students - full of jitters and anticipation. They are also a crucial part of the learning process, giving students the opportunity to clearly communicate their ideas, reflect on their progress, and grow through critique.

Beirut-based design house invited our students to design and produce tactile objects that respond to touch, pressure, and scent for Wonderfarts, an exhibition at our neighborhood’s Takeover Gallery.
