This is our Weeks 8–9 update. We’ll continue sharing regular updates as we work to expand the number of kitchens supported, increase allocations to each kitchen, and grow the farmer support initiative - all thanks to your contributions.
As always, part of the fresh produce provided to kitchens was sourced from agroecological farmers through our partner (social grocery). Some of this produce was co-purchased, while additional quantities were fully donated by Dikken.

On March 6, Jibal launched a crowdfunding campaign in response to the ongoing israeli aggression on Lebanon, including evacuation orders issued with little notice, which have caused the forced displacement of thousands of families, alongside continued bombardments. The funds are being allocated to support community kitchens over two-month period (March and April), with the possibility of extension depending on evolving needs.
Donations are currently being distributed across four community kitchens, based on a rapid needs assessment conducted with each one.
This is our Week 4 and 5 update. We’ll continue sharing weekly updates and aim to expand both the number of kitchens supported and the amount allocated to each, depending on your contributions. In a time where many businesses are navigating uncertainty, pressure, and rapid change, coming together is essential.
We invite green, regenerative, circular, and impact-driven enterprises to connect, exchange, and support one another through the realities we are facing today.
The session will create space for open conversation around current challenges, urgent needs, and the practical barriers affecting your work.
The EcoSwitch Coalition would like to offer an opportunity to think collectively - alongside other entrepreneurs and Business Support Organizations - about concrete ways to collaborate, share resources, and strengthen resilience in the face of ongoing disruption.
The objective is clear - strengthening business continuity today while laying the groundwork for more resilient, cooperative models moving forward.
Our colleague Jad Awada from both Eedama & Jibal co-designed the session along with colleagues from the Ecoswitch coalition, and will be facilitating collectively.

Displacement is not just a movement of people, it is the deliberate dismantling of a way of life. When farmers are severed from their land and irrigation lines are broken, we aren't just looking at a food shortage, we are witnessing the theft of autonomy and the engineering of dependency.
The solutions exist. The resources exist. What is missing is the political will to prioritize people over profit.
