Pumping can be a helpful tool in breastfeeding — but like everything in postpartum care, timing and intention matter.
In the early days, your body is still learning to regulate milk supply, and sometimes what feels like “too much fullness” is actually part of that adjustment process. The goal is not to rush the process or replace feeding patterns too early, but to support comfort, milk flow, and breastfeeding establishment in a balanced way. Every choice in this stage can influence your long-term breastfeeding journey — which is why guidance makes all the difference.
If you’re unsure when or how to introduce pumping or bottles, seek support early — small decisions now shape your breastfeeding experience later.

Struggling with leaks? Urgency? Feeling like you always need to run to the bathroom?
It’s easy to blame your bladder…
but in many cases, the real issue is your pelvic floor.
A pelvic floor that is too weak OR too tight can’t properly support your bladder or control urine flow.
That’s when symptoms show up:
• leaking when you cough, laugh, or exercise
• sudden urgency
• frequent bathroom trips
And here’s the important part:
👉Tight doesn’t mean strong
👉Weak doesn’t mean the only solution is Kegels
Your pelvic floor needs balance, coordination, and proper function.
The good news? This is something we can work on.
Through pelvic floor rehabilitation, you can regain control, comfort, and confidence in your body.
Book your pelvic floor consultation today and let’s address the root —not just the symptoms

It’s one of the most common fears…and one of the least talked about.
Yes —many women p**p during labor. And no, it’s not something to be embarrassed about. In fact, it usually means you’re pushing the right way.
The same muscles used to push your baby down also apply pressure on the re**um. So when it happens, it’s often a sign that baby is moving in the right direction. And here’s the truth: Your care team expects it
It’s handled discreetly. Most women don’t even realize it happened.
Want to feel more prepared (and less surprised) for labor? Book your prenatal class — we talk about the real things that actually
As summer approaches and tanning season is on the door… ☀️
your skin during pregnancy needs a little extra care.
Hormonal changes increase melanin production, which means a higher chance of dark spots — especially on the face, around the belly button, elbows, and other sensitive areas.
That’s why protection matters:
• apply sunscreen regularly (yes, even if you’re already tanned)
• don’t forget those often-missed areas
• keep your belly covered — a simple wet towel can help protect and cool the skin
It’s not about avoiding the sun, it’s about enjoying it safely. 🤍
Take care of your skin the same way you take care of your body — gently and consciously.

Breast milk is far more than nutrition.
It is a dynamic, living system — constantly adapting to your baby’s needs.
When your baby feeds, tiny signals from their saliva interact with your body.
This communication allows your immune system to respond and adjust the composition of your milk.
In moments of illness, research shows that breast milk can increase immune factors and antibodies — acting almost like a tailored protection system for your baby.
This is why we say breastfeeding is not just feeding… it is biological communication in its most advanced form.
And yet, science is still discovering just how complex and intelligent this system truly is.

We often describe the cervix as something that “opens” — but it’s not a door.
It softens, thins, and gradually transforms to allow birth to happen.
Understanding this changes how you see labor: less mechanical, more physiological.
Less force, more process. 🤍

Most people think pushing is about “force.” As a midwife, I’m here to tell you it’s actually about release.
When you hold your breath and “strain” down with all your might, your body senses a high-stress event. Your pelvic floor—including your perineum—reacts by tensing up. It’s a biological defense mechanism.
The result?
• Higher risk of tearing.
• More exhaustion for the mother.
• Increased pressure on the baby’s head.
In our Birth Prep sessions, we don’t just talk about labor—we practice the exact breathing techniques that protect your perineum and make your delivery more efficient.

Beliefs and practices vary widely — some think it should happen immediately, others prefer waiting several minutes or even until the placenta is delivered.
But what does science say?
Research has shown that delayed cord clamping can offer important benefits for the baby, which is why current recommendations generally support waiting before clamping the cord — often around 30 seconds to 2 minutes depending on the situation and the condition of both mother and baby.
Every birth is different, and understanding the “why” behind these recommendations helps parents make informed decisions with confidence.
Our childbirth preparation sessions are designed to guide you through the latest evidence-based recommendations regarding pregnancy, labor, birth, postpartum, breastfeeding, and more.

More Than Just a Kick !
There is a moment in every pregnancy where it stops being an “idea” and starts being a person. That moment is the first time you feel them move.
Did you know baby movements are often a response to your voice, your lunch, or even your position? When they kick, they are communicating their comfort or their excitement. It’s a two-way street.
Tip: In the quiet moments of the evening, place your hands on your belly and just breathe. You aren’t just feeling a physical movement; you are experiencing the only language your baby has right now.
