Last week, we had another photoshoot in Beirut for our cookbook at the midst of ongoing war. The situation is brutal and frustrating especially in the south. Lebanon is divided in a very sad way.
This cookbook is a tribute to beautiful culture people have been maintaining in this region no matter what happens. Recipes from Beirut to Nabatiye to Jerusalem to Damascus have been collected, honoring both joyful and sad memories they carry.
May all the people who contributed in this book (rooted in Lebanon, Palestine, Syria and Armenia) gather under a peaceful sky one day to share their food without worrying about bombing and distractions.
