3 BEIRUT IS PROUD TO SPONSOR 'TEACH A CHILD'

'Teach a Child' is a non-profit organization that provides financial support to children across Lebanon to help them enroll in public schools regardless of their gender, religion, location and performance. Established in 2011, it has fully supported the enrollment 105 students in 2011/2012, 409 students in 2012/2013 and 600 students in 2013/2014 in 29 public schools across Lebanon.

Lebanon is a country with large needs. Despite the presence of public schools, many families, especially those with three, four or more children are unable to cover all expenses related to their children’s education. This is where we come in and offer our help. We coordinate with public schools principals and community stakeholders in order to enroll students of families in need and we cover all expenses related to registration, transportation, books, stationary, and the imposed parents’ committee fees.

The aim of our NGO is to make sure that no child is left behind. We commit to supporting all the children of a family until they finish their schooling and we promote for the implementation of
compulsory education throughout Lebanon. One of our major concerns is street children. Unfortunately, there are no mechanisms to ensure that all children are enrolled at school and no penalties imposed on parents who fail to send their children to school. We are lobbying with our members of parliament and with our ministers to amend the laws so that education becomes free, compulsory and imposed on every child in Lebanon.

“Teach a Child” works on collecting funds through a variety of ways: in addition to members’ contributions and generous donations from committed individuals and corporations, we organize yearly a major fund raising event. This year, a dinner is planned at saint George - Beirut on Friday 29 May 2015. This event will gather around 600 Teach A Child supporters and friends and will have full media coverage. '

Facade Cladding Being Completed

The cream coloured stone cladding is progressing towards completion. A rigorous selection is carefully laid out on site to produce a continuous and clear pattern on all 3 towers.

This distinguished material contrasts beautifully with the surrounding lower-rise buildings in Wadi Abu Jmeel.

A New View of Old Beirut

At 3 Beirut’s South facing apartments in all 3 towers, you will want to take in the spectacular views of historic Wadi Abou Jmeel and Greater Beirut from your bedroom’s balconies or your living room’s expansive glazed windows, far away from daytime heat.

East facing apartments have an equally spectacular back drop of the city, mountains and sea, whilst those that are west facing benefit from landscaped gardens below.

Limited available apartments with private terrace

The terrace gardens are conceived as an extension of the apartments’ interiors, allowing for programs that extend or complement the functions of the adjacent rooms. The planting of the terraces represent native plants arranged in such a manner that a layered effect is achieved from the exterior, avoiding continuous green screens through asymmetrical compositions.

Fresh air for sleep

If you've ever wondered why we always sleep more soundly after spending the day on the beach, it's because of the sea air. Sea air is charged with healthy negative ions that accelerate our ability to absorb oxygen. Negative ions also balance levels of serotonin, a body chemical linked with mood and stress. Which is why after a holiday you feel more alert, relaxed and energized.

Other studies suggest that 'blue space' can reduce stress and have a positive effect on wellbeing. http://goo.gl/HEqJj7

3 Beirut offers sea view apartments ranging from "208 sqm2" to "1304 sqm2", at a distance not exceeding 300 meters from the famous Zaitunay bay and the St. Georges Yakht Club. A simple look out the window is enough to put you in the right home comforting mood.

Tower 3 - Nearly Sold Out

Tower 3, the lowest of the 3 buildings in 3 Beirut is almost sold-out, with very limited availability.

Remaining units range from 209 to 455sqm.

3 Beirut - Living Area

The main feature of the living area is the polished plaster wall which wraps around the core structural wall of the tower. This wall conceals all services and ducts which enables the ceiling to be completely clear from light fittings or air conditioning units, creating an unbroken surface. The ceiling is washed by lighting from strip lights which run continuously along the top of the wall. The travertine flooring is lit in a similar manner at the base of the wall. The wall is distinguished by a continuous shelf that is created by cutting into the wall. Other rectangular spaces are also punched out of the wall to make focal spaces for works of art, sculptures or other objects.

The travertine stone floor runs seamlessly from the lift lobby through into the apartment living area, maximizing the feeling of space and creating a smooth traditional flow. This is achieved by repeating the carpet insert and coffer detail that occurs in the lift lobby again in the reception area. The large solid stone tiles cover the entire living area and balconies. The family area also has an insert carpet to create a more relaxed space.

Natural lighting is optimized through the use of full height glazed windows to the north and south of the living areas.
