“The most worthy of causes is the struggle for freedom and for the land.” Today, March 30, marks Land Day— whereby these prints, most of them showcasing the connection of people to their land, to nature— commemorate Palestinians struggle for a liberated homeland, and the struggle of all people for self-governance and liberty to this day.

On this day, 52 years ago, Fairuz’s play, Loulou opens in Beirut, Piccadilly Theatre 🎭
A musical play written by Rahbani Brothers, it stars Fairuz, a woman unjustly imprisoned for murder, and is released after 15 years. She is resolved to seek revenge and justice.

Directed by Antoine Remy and starring an incredibly talented cast of Nasri Shamseddine, Joseph Sakr, Hoda Haddad, the play became an instant success.

Happening now! 📚🎨 The 44th International Book Fair in Sharjah at the Expo Centre! We are displaying the book, Tonight, Lebanese Films (1929-1979) among many other books and magazines. A selection of reprints, postcards and stickers from our vintage print collection is also available. Make sure to drop by from November 4th-November 16!
