This year’s edition unfolds as a cinematic journey through Brazil, where contemporary voices, festival revelations, and a landmark classic come together for an exciting and unique program.

From Cannes-awarded revelations to Berlinale discoveries, and a defining masterpiece of world cinema, the selection traces a living map of Brazilian storytelling today.

Na sexta-feira, dia 22 de maio, os nossos Teens e Kids tiveram uma aula super divertida na cozinha! 👩‍🍳

Os alunos colocaram a mão na massa e exploraram um pouco da cultura brasileira 🇧🇷 através da culinária. Eles prepararam brigadeiro, cachorro-quente 🌭, sanduíches e, claro, não podia faltar o pão de queijo 🧀.

As part of a collaboration between the Embassy of Brazil in Lebanon, Instituto Guimarães Rosa - Beirut and the Cabriolet Film Festival 2026, short films aficionados are invited to discover the Brazilian short 'Mancha' or 'Smudge' in english, which will be screened on Friday, June 5, 2026, and will compete for the Audience Award alongside an international selection of films.

Synopsis:
Inside a prison, four inmates stare at a dried bloodstain on the wall. While some see it as nothing more than an insignificant mark, others interpret it as art. Through irony and provocation, they engage in a philosophical debate about freedom, morality, and fate. What begins as a game of interpretations gradually turns into a reflection of their own existence, revealing that within those walls, freedom is always a fleeting illusion.

Taking place from June 5 to June 7, 2026, under the 'DREAMS' theme, the Cabriolet Film Festival 2026 will bring the magic of short movies cinema to several Lebanese cities, including Beirut, Jounieh, Byblos, Dhour Choueir, Ammatour, Saida, Deir El Qamar, Douma, and Zahlé.

A Embaixada do Brasil e o Instituto Guimarães Rosa - Beirute, representados pelo chefe do Setor Cultural da Embaixada do Brasil e pela equpie do IGR Beirute, prestigiaram o evento cultural “O Líbano no Brasil” 🇱🇧 🇧🇷, promovido pela Escola das Irmãs do Rosário - Mountazah, em Mansouriyeh, no âmbito do tema “Interação cultural entre os povos”.

Durante as atividades, os alunos se dividiram em grupos e exploraram diferentes aspectos da presença e da influência libanesa no Brasil, abordando temas que vão da economia e do comércio às artes, à música, à literatura e à política.

Agradecemos à direção e ao departamento de língua árabe da Escola das Irmãs do Rosário - Mountazah, pela oportunidade de celebrar, por meio da educação, a conexão entre o Brasil e o Líbano.

سفارة البرازيل ومعهد غيمارايس روزا - بيروت، ممثَّلين برئيس القسم الثقافي في سفارة البرازيل وفريق معهد غيمارايس روزا في بيروت، لبّوا الدعوة لحضور الفعالية الثقافية «لبنان في البرازيل» 🇱🇧 🇧🇷، التي نظّمتها مدرسة راهبات الوردية – المنتزه في المنصورية، في إطار موضوع «التفاعل الثقافي بين الشعوب».

خلال الأنشطة، انقسم الطلاب إلى مجموعات واستكشفوا جوانب مختلفة من حضور وتأثير اللبنانيين في البرازيل، متناولين موضوعات تمتد من الاقتصاد والتجارة إلى الفنون والموسيقى والأدب والسياسة.

نتوجّه بالشكر إلى إدارة مدرسة راهبات الوردية - المنتزه وقسم اللغة العربية فيها على إتاحة هذه الفرصة للاحتفاء، من خلال التعليم، بالعلاقة بين البرازيل ولبنان.
