While I don’t necessarily look forward to the cold weather, I much prefer dressing for the cooler climate. And given I’m a bit of a coat fiend, there’s always a bit of excitement when primetime coat season is in full swing! My coat collection can be best described as eclectic – it’s a mix of some treasures I’ve invested, some gems I found on the high street and I enjoy having a variety of silhouettes to choose from that are both dressy for work and relaxed for the everyday. Coats are by far my favourite items of clothing and in my opinion, they’re like shoes – they can make or break an outfit (and you can never have too many!)

When it comes to high street stores, I'm very specific about where I go for certain items. This may be because, after years of shopping, I finally know exactly what suits me. And more importantly, I know exactly what doesn't. Let me explain. While I find Zara good for dresses, I would never usually buy trousers from there (I'm 5'4" so they're often too long.) Instead, I head to COS for more tailored pieces. And when it comes to Mango, although I'm often caught pursuing the shoe, blouse and accessory section, at this time of year, I always know it's the destination for the best coats. In terms of fit, quality and cost, it's the full package.
