On April 24, a meeting with an expert in the field of Germany, Ten Alexander, took place at the Kazakh-German University within the framework of the diplomatic lounge of the Faculty of World Politics.
During the meeting «Germany: Education and Opportunities», educational and career prospects abroad were considered. The participants learned about the opportunities offered by studying in Germany, as well as about the key aspects worth paying attention to when applying to German universities.
Special attention was paid to practical aspects: the choice of curricula, as well as the possibilities of choosing a university. The expert shared useful recommendations on preparing and adapting to life in Germany, and the participants also learned about the expert’s personal experience of studying and living in Germany.
The event was held in the format of an open dialogue: after the lecture, the participants were able to ask relevant questions to the expert.

On April 1, the 18th International Student Conference «Modern Global Trends: Challenges and Risks for Central Asia» was held at the Kazakh-German University.
The main purpose of the conference was to create a platform for discussing current global issues, exchanging ideas and finding solutions that can meet the challenges of today.
The conference was organized in six sections:
- «Central Asia in the context of the transformation of the world order» - «Economic challenges and opportunities in the context of globalization and regional integration» - «Modern logistics in the context of the formation and sustainability of socio-economic systems» - «Artificial intelligence and digital technologies: opportunities and risks» - «Energy and ecology: sustainable development, innovation and challenges of global Transformations in Central Asia» - «Modern Digital Education: Trends, cases, prospects»
The conference was also attended by representatives of universities: Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, NARXOZ University, Turan University, Kazakh-British Technical University, International University of Information Technology, as well as universities of Kyrgyzstan - Kyrgyz National University named after J. Balasagyn and Kyrgyz State University named after I. Arabayev.
At the end of the conference, the participants were awarded certificates, and the best reports were evaluated by the moderators of the sections.
The conference proved the active involvement in the scientific environment and the importance of the topics raised in the context of modern global processes.

From March 23–28, 2026, the Kazakh-German University hosted the second Summer School on social cohesion and public policy in Central Asia and the Caucasus.
Funded by the VolkswagenStiftung and led by Technische Universität Dortmund, the project brings together Crossroads Central Asia, Deutsch-Kasachische Universität (DKU), University of Georgia, and Ilia State University. Following Bishkek (September 2025), the Almaty school focused on research development and regional exchange.
Lectures included:
• Why Epistemology Matters - Kuat Akizhanov
• Subjective Wellbeing in Central Asia- Dina Sharipova
• How to Write Effective Policy Papers- Serik Orazgaliyev
• Science and its Environment- Natalia Jung
• Regional Policy and Social Cohesion in Mining Regions- Madina Junussova
Workshops: Serik Beimenbetov, Zarina Adambussinova, Aizhan Sharshenova, Shairbek Dzhuraev, Shalva Dzebisashvili, Nora Becker, Elbey Babayev, Murodjon Sultanov, Aliia Maralbaeva.
Mentors: Gabriele Rasuly-Paleczek, Zukhra Halimova.
Participants also had the opportunity to engage with practitioners during a visit to CAPS Unlock Policy Center, which featured an insightful panel discussion with Nargiz Kassenova (Co-founder), Zukhra Halimova (Senior Advisor), Tlegen Kuandykov (Program Coordinator), Aida Aidarkulova (Executive Director), and Peter Leonard (Communications Director).
