AirshowAssistant FS24 v3.16.5 will be released 20.05.2026. It will get both wingman aircraft/livery scan scripts available: Modular for modern aircraft (which contains titles instead of liveries), and Legacy for old style livery aircraft. Please notice that even native FS24 aircraft may still be designed as livery aircraft.

reported several CTDs during legacy aircraft scan, I have tried to minimize such events but haven’t found any code issues which may cause it (yet?), so it could be SImConnect itself - during scan process script trying to insert each the aircraft from database of known aircraft, if aircraft not installed it returns exception which, theoretically, may cause CTD. So even if LEGACY aircraft scan option is available, I do not recommend to use it as it considered as unsafe. You still may report about issues about this feature, maybe together we will find source of the problem.

Also this version will has one new tab calls “TRAIN”. It was in plans for years and finally I was able to make first step in this direction.
First train mode is flight plan recorder. Unlike normal recorders which apply flight plan to your own aircraft, this one replay the formation itself. So you press RECORD, perform an airshow program - using formation, smokes, flares, changing their parameters etc. Once finished, you can stop recording, press REPLAY and AI aircraft will take a lead of formation, performing all your actions with precise timings. You can take any position in formation other than #1, also a visual pointer available (similar to AAR pointer) which will guide you to the required position. This is an experimental feature so not sure it works perfectly fine, but it will be improved in the future.

AirshowAssistant v3.15.0 (FS24 - PC/Xbox)

- Variables system upgraded to the new one, providing smaller delays and better stability

- About 30 new flight formations added

- new option “avoid collisions” to prevent wingmen get inside of each other, tanker or player aircraft

- Formation map, click on the wingman to adjust it parameters

- AAR difficulty is fully adjustable now, select suitable preset and then apply adjustments. Each option has a tooltip with explanation.

- When orbit route selected, you can adjust orbit size and position (before tanker is called)

- Once tanker is called you will see its relative position

- Many exceptions fixed which makes add-on more stable

- Liveries scan script replaced with modern enumeration method, JS code no longer contains thousands of liveries names reducing FPS impact

- Controls assist script replaced for easier content creation process. Also it enabled for Rookie mode during contact by default.

- Many AI aircraft behaviour improvements.

* Due to MP injection issue, liveries enumeration is not working correctly in this update, fix will be provided next week

Attention, Airshow Assistant users!

Since FS24 SU4 update released our tool experience stability degradation. WASM crashes while its features used became a normal thing, in some cases sim crashes even while no actual features used, just script sleeping in the background. The reason is legacy code - FS code involves very quickly, even if devs trying to keep legacy code supported it still receiving stability issues.

The only option we have is separate development of the MSFS2020 and FS24 version of the add-on, not only because of stability issues but for sake of the new features implementation - aircraft dynamic liveries support, new variables system, camera API, and many other things along with overall physics and AI aircraft behaviour improvements.

MSFS2020 will not receive such upgrades as some of them are literally impossible, some will require twice more time to be implemented. I am grateful to many of you for years of support of ASA but time goes on and we have to choose the path wisely. MSFS2020 updates still will be released but with only minor or critical fixes, like adding support of new aircraft liveries.

AirshowAssistant FS24 native major update in the process but it ended up being quite complex and took much more time than planned. If you experience stability issues with your sim please disable AirshowAssistant and compare results, if it is the one causing crashes - please wait for an update.

First large Blanik update just was released. Since the initial version, you will get:
- unbracing process (FS2020 only! start the flight in the parking spot, follow the checklist so you will not miss any step), then tow yourself to the runway, to call the towplane toggle tow handle once.
- various multiplayer fixes, like pilots appearance and canopy animation
- CTD fixed which happened when user didn't set Glider profile in joystick settings
- Czechoslovak and Russian labels added for relative liveries
- for whom authentic wind sounds are too loud, volume slider was added on the nav pad screen - it will adjust wind sounds of the Blanik only, so you can make your flights comfortable

This is still work-in-progress product, next stage update will include cockpit updates - 3d model fixes, instruments accurate behaviour, swappable gauges (different units or remove selected gauge completely), maybe will make an attempt to integrate LX Nav unit.
