This post is a little look at what goes into getting the shot.
What you see at the end is one clean video, but behind that were a lot of takes, a few misses, plenty of jumping, and a lot of time in the midday sun trying to get it right.
I’m learning that good real estate content is not just about showing up and filming. A lot of thought goes into it. From outfit selection, to timing, to where I need to land, to remembering lines, to even choosing the time of day so the shadow would fall in front of me the right way.
There were marks on the ground to help with positioning, repeated takes to get the movement right, and definitely a few bloopers along the way.
I wanted to share this because I think it’s important for people to see the process too. Not just the finished result, but the work, planning, and effort behind it.

For example, if your child’s school is in one part of the island, your work is in another, and your home is chosen only because the listing looked good, your daily routine can become stressful fast. In Cayman, convenience is not just distance on a map, it is traffic flow, school runs, grocery stops, and how your week actually moves.
2. Picking the popular area instead of the right-fit area.
Cayman is small, but every area has a different rhythm. Seven Mile Corridor may be great for convenience, but that does not automatically mean it is the best fit for your family. South Sound, Grand Harbour, West Bay, or North West Point may make more sense depending on your school, work, budget, and lifestyle priorities.
3. Not deciding your move strategy early enough.
Some families should rent first, especially if they have never lived here and still need to understand the areas. Others may be ready to buy if they already know their lifestyle, school plan, budget, and timeline. The mistake is committing too quickly from overseas without knowing whether the area works for real life, not just the listing photos.
