Feeding primarily on the invasive Indo-Pacific red lionfish, Richie Bird plays an integral role in maintaining the delicate balance of the reefs surrounding Grand Cayman.

Often observed armed with a spear and an unshakable sense of purpose, he moves with surprising grace for a creature that survives solely on lionfish, heinekin, and questionable sleep schedules.

Despite numerous attempts, researchers have been unable to determine whether Richie migrates by instinct… or simply because he refuses to dive anywhere without warm water, good viz, and an amazing boat nearby.
