Closing out , The Hon. André M. Ebanks, Premier and Minister of Financial Services and Commerce, delivered an inspiring keynote address reflecting on Cayman’s progress and outlining a bold vision for the future of the jurisdiction’s financial services industry.
He reaffirmed government’s commitment to maintaining Cayman’s position as a premier global financial centre - emphasising digital transformation, ESG leadership, and policy modernisation as key pillars for sustainable growth.
The Premier also spoke to the importance of nurturing local talent and deepening collaboration between the public and private sectors to ensure Cayman remains competitive, credible, and connected on the world stage.

Moderated by Paul Byles, Chairman of Spectrum, the discussion brought together Mrs Cindy Scotland, OBE, CEO, CIMA, Rohan Bromfield, Head of Fiduciary, Jessica Ebanks, Head of Securities, George Kamau, Deaputy Head of Insurance, and Pranav Variava, Head of Investments.
The forum provided a unique opportunity to hear directly from CIMA’s senior leadership on regulatory priorities, supervisory approaches, and expectations for regulated entities, with audience questions adding to the interactive dialogue.

Moderated by Brian O’Reilly, Head of Innovations, Greenlight Re, the discussion brought together Tamsin Deasey-Weinstein (University College of the Cayman Islands), Jay Mahdu (Oxbridge Re Holdings Limited), Samuel Jacques-Cloutier (Hash Directors), and Suzanne Sadlier.
The panel explored how AI and machine learning are transforming underwriting, claims analysis, and catastrophe modelling, as well as the ethical and regulatory considerations and the evolving role of actuaries in an increasingly automated industry.
