"Fandango" in 'Don Quixote', Act 3.
The next video we would like to introduce to you is the "Fandango" in 'Don Quixote'. This “fandango,” an aristocratic Spanish dance, appears in the Act 3 wedding scene of 'Don Quixote'.
In a "fandango" the ladies dance with scarves, using them to add to the graceful movements of their arms. During the dance, they pause, bend forward and show their supple limbs and arms. The accompaniment of the castanets accentuates the rhythm of their dynamic movements and upraised arms.
