f you're feeling down & out, nothing cures the blues like a selfless act of service for others. Read to some children, or teach an adult to read. Serve food to the homeless or spend time with the sick & elderly. Being of service will remind you that even when you feel defeated, you can make someone else's life better. It reminds you of The Christ in YOU!

Try this exercise in prayer: Give yourself a quiet place & time. Then place your hands over your heart, close your eyes and take very deep, slow breaths. As you inhale, say "Thank." As you exhale, say "You." Repeat it slowly, quietly: "Thank you. Thank you...." Just those two words, nothing more. Focus on your physical heart. Do this for as long as you feel God directs you. Lord, sometimes I forget: I have SO much to be grateful for. Thank you for AIR to breathe, clean water to drink.
