🤝 CIF is honored to collaborate with the Department of Welfare of Persons With Disabilities, the National Institute of Social Affairs, and the Ministry of Social Affairs, Veterans and Youth Rehabilitation in organizing the Training on Community-Based Care Techniques for Children and Persons with Disabilities for national and provincial trainers.

This important initiative reflects our shared commitment to strengthening the capacity of service providers and building a more inclusive support system for children and persons with disabilities across Cambodia.

We are encouraged to see the participation of government officials, provincial departments, rehabilitation centers, development partners, and students working together toward a common goal: ensuring that every child and person with a disability can access quality care, support, and opportunities within their communities.

On March​ 10, 2026, the Enhancing Service Provision Program of Children in
Families organized site visits to Respite Care’s facilities for the participants, who received capacity training by Children in Families. A total of 53 trainees (33 female) from Svay Rieng City Administration, Svay Chrum District, and Romdoul District, government agencies, and related departments were divided into two groups, with one group visiting the Respite Care in Chheu Teal Commune and the other visiting the Respite Care in Kraol Kou Commune.

𝗣𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁: The Respite Care and provides parents or caregivers with an opportunity to relax, reduce stress, and have time for themselves, and also
provides children with the opportunity to receive professional care to stimulate development and skills through play, improve social communication and
interaction, cognitive thinking, and self-care skills, and meet new friends or
children with similar situations.

វេទិកាប្រជុំសហគមន៍នេះ បានទទួលការចូលរួមជាវាគ្មិន ដោយលោកអភិបាលរងក្រុងស្វាយរៀង លោកអនុប្រធានមន្ទីរសង្គមកិច្ច អតីតយុទ្ធជន និងយុវនីតិសម្បទា ខេត្តស្វាយរៀង លោកស្រីប្រធានការិយាល័យអប់រំស្រុកស្វាយជ្រំ លោកប្រធានមណ្ឌលសុខភាពថ្នាធ្នង់ និងលោក លោកស្រី ប្រធានការិយាល័យសង្គមកិច្ចនិងសុខុមាលភាព​សង្គម លោកមេឃុំក្រោលគោ និងមានការចូលរួមពីមន្រ្តីមកពីរដ្ឋបាលថ្នាក់ក្រោមជាតិ ក្នុងវិស័យសង្គមកិច្ច សុខាភិបាល និងអប់រំ និងក្រុមប្រឹក្សាឃុំ/សង្កាត់ទាំង ២៤ ក្រុងស្រុកទាំង៣នៃខេត្តស្វាយរៀង។​

On March​ 10, 2026, the Enhancing Service Provision Program of Children in Families organized a community dialogue held at the Kraol Kou Commune with the aim of: 1) Strengthen our understanding of disability inclusion, 2) Share reflections from the Respite Care site visit, and 3) Discuss how we, as a community, can build stronger support systems for children with disabilities.
The community forum was attended by the Deputy Governor of Svay Rieng Municipality, the Deputy Director of the Department of Social Affairs, Veterans and Youth Rehabilitation of Svay Rieng Province, the Head of the Svay Chrum District Office of Education, the Head of the Thna Thnong Health Center, the Head of the Social Affairs and Social Welfare Office, the Chief of Kraol Kou Commune, and officials from sub-national administrations in the fields of social affairs, health and education, and the Commune Councils of all 24 communes/sangkats of three districts and krong Svay Rieng Province.

កាលពីថ្ងៃទី២៣ និង២៧ ខែកុម្ភៈ ឆ្នាំ២០២៦ កម្មវិធីលើកកម្ពស់ការផ្ដល់សេវាពិការភាពរបស់អង្គការកុមារក្នុងគ្រួសារ បានរៀបចំកិច្ចប្រជុំប្រចាំខែក្រុមជួយគ្នាទៅវិញទៅមក ដែលបានធ្វើឡើង នៅវត្តស្លា ក្នុងភូមិសង្កែ ឃុំឈើទាល ស្រុកស្វាយជ្រំ មានអ្នកចូលរួមចំនួន ១២នាក់ (ស្រី១០នាក់) និងនៅសាលាឃុំកំពង់ចក ស្រុករំដួល មាននាក់ចូលរួម ចំនួន ៧នាក់ (ស្រី៦នាក់) ក្រោមប្រធានបទ៖ការគាំទ្រដល់កុមារមានពិការភាពតាមរយៈការចិញ្ចឹមបីបាច់ និងថែទាំតាមបែបវិជ្ជមាន។ តាមរយៈកិច្ចពិភាក្សា សមាជិកក្រុមបានចែករំលែកបទពិសោធន៍និងបញ្ហា ប្រឈមរបស់ពួកគាត់ក្នុងការមើលថែទាំកូនមានពិការភាព និងលើកពីក្ដីកង្វល់ សំណូមពរ និងស្វែងរកដំណោះស្រាយរួមគ្នា។

On February 23 and 27, 2026, The Enhancing Service Provision Program of Children in Families organized monthly Peer Support Group meetings at Wat Slar in Sangke Village, Chheu Teal Commune, Svay Chrum District, with 12 participants (10 female) and at Kampong Chak Commune, Rumduol District, with 7 participants (6 female) under the theme: Supporting children with disabilities through positive parenting and nurturing care. Through the discussions, group members shared their experiences and challenges in caring for their children with disabilities, raised concerns, challenges, suggestions, and sought solutions together.

កាលពីថ្ងៃទី៣ ដល់ទី៥ ខែកុម្ភៈ ឆ្នាំ២០២៦ អង្គការកុមារក្នុងគ្រួសារ (CIF) បានសហការ ជាមួយអង្គការអូអាយស៊ី កម្ពុជា (OIC Cambodia) និង​ អង្គការគាំទ្រសេវាពិការភាពអន្តរជាតិ (DSI) បានចុះទស្សនកិច្ចសិក្សា និងផ្ដល់ការណែនាំ ហ្វឹកហាត់ និង គាំទ្រទៅដល់សិក្ខាកាម ដែលទទួលបានការបណ្ដុះបណ្ដាល ដោយ អង្គការកុមារក្នុងគ្រួសារ។ ក្រុមការងារបានចុះទៅដល់ការិយាល័យ និងកន្លែងធ្វើការរបស់សិក្ខាកាម ដើម្បីស្វែងយល់ពីការអនុវត្តសកម្មភាពគាំទ្រដល់កុមារមានពិការភាព បន្ទាប់ពីទទួលបានការបណ្ដុះបណ្ដាល រួមមាន៖ អភិបាលរងស្រុក អនុការិយាល័យសង្គមកិច្ចស្រុក គណៈកម្មាធិការទទួលបន្ទុកកិច្ចការនារី និងកុមារឃុំ ក្រុមប្រឹក្សាឃុំ/សង្កាត់ មេឃុំ នាយករងសាលាបឋមសិក្សានិងបុគ្គលិកអង្គការ គាំពារភូមិយើង (KPY) ស្រុកស្វាយជ្រំ ចំនួន ២០​នាក់ (​​​ស្រី១៥នាក់) ក្រុងស្វាយរៀង ចំនួន ១៣នាក់ (ស្រី១០នាក់) និង ស្រុករំដួល ចំនួន ១០នាក់ (ស្រី៥នាក់)

On February 3-5, 2026, Children in Families (CIF), in collaboration with OIC Cambodia and Disability Support International (DSI), conducted a study tour and ongoing coaching & mentoring session to local authorities trained by Children in Families. The team visited the trainees’ offices and workplaces to learn about the implementation of support activities for children with disabilities after receiving the training, including: Deputy District Governors, Deputy District Offices of Social Affairs, Commune Committee for Women and Children (CCWC), Commune/Sangkat Councils, Chief of Commune, Deputy Principals of Primary Schools and staff from Koampia Phom Yoeung (KPY) in total: Svay Chrum District (20 people (15 women), Svay Rieng City (13 people (10 women)) and Romdoul District (10 people (5 women).
