In His incarnation, Jesus came down to earth, not as a burning bush but as “a tender shoot, and like a root out of dry ground” (Isa. 53:1–2; see also Phil. 2:5–11).

He became a human, a man, for us (John 1:14);
He became obedient unto death for us and became sin for us (2 Cor. 5:21).
Jesus became a curse for us and on the cross bore the curse of the law for us who have broken God’s law (Gal. 3:13–14).

And one day “we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is” (1 John 3:2)!
