YOUR LO-DEBAR IS NOT YOUR FINAL DESTINATION
Lessons from Mephibosheth's Story
1. Your present condition does not determine your future.
2. God's covenant is stronger than your circumstances.
3. Divine favor can locate you wherever you are.
What was lost can be restored.
4. God can move you from the place of limitation to the place of honor.
Conclusion
No matter how difficult your situation may seem, do not settle in Lo-Debar. It may be your current location, but it is not your final destination. The God who remembered Mephibosheth will remember you. The God who called him out of obscurity will call you into your purpose. The God who seated him at the king's table will also prepare a table before you.
Prayer: Father, thank You that my Lo-Debar is not my final destination. Remember me according to Your mercy and covenant. Let Your favor locate me, restore what has been lost, and bring me into the place You have prepared for me. In Jesus' name, Amen.

YOUR LO-DEBAR IS NOT YOUR FINAL DESTINATION
Key Scriptures: 1 Samuel 9:21; 1 Samuel 15:9,22; 1 Samuel 20:30-32; 2 Samuel 4:4; 2 Samuel 9:1-13
Lo-Debar was a place of obscurity, isolation, and limitation. It was where Mephibosheth, the grandson of Saul and son of Jonathan, lived after tragedy struck his family. He was crippled in both feet and hidden away in a place where no one expected greatness to emerge. Yet God had a different plan for his life.
Many people today find themselves in their own "Lo-Debar"—a place of disappointment, rejection, poverty, sickness, delay, or forgotten dreams. But the story of Mephibosheth teaches us a powerful truth: your Lo-Debar is not your final destination.
Saul himself once saw himself as insignificant, saying, "Am I not a Benjamite, of the smallest of the tribes of Israel?" (1 Samuel 9:21). Yet God raised him to become king. This reminds us that God specializes in lifting people from humble beginnings.
The downfall of Saul began when he chose partial obedience over complete obedience to God (1 Samuel 15:9,22). This teaches us that our destiny is preserved through obedience. While disobedience can delay God's purpose, His mercy can still bring restoration through future generations.
Jonathan, Saul's son, was a man of covenant and loyalty. Despite the hostility of Saul toward David (1 Samuel 20:30-32), Jonathan remained faithful. Because of that covenant relationship, God remembered his household long after Jonathan had died.
After the death of Saul and Jonathan, tragedy struck Mephibosheth. While fleeing, his nurse dropped him, leaving him crippled for life (2 Samuel 4:4). What happened to him was not his fault, yet he suffered the consequences. Many people carry wounds from circumstances beyond their control, but God is able to rewrite their story.
Years later, King David asked, "Is there still anyone left of the house of Saul, that I may show him kindness for Jonathan's sake?" (2 Samuel 9:1). David's servants found Mephibosheth in Lo-Debar. Notice that David did not wait for Mephibosheth to come to the palace; he sent for him.
The same God who knows your address in Lo-Debar knows exactly where you are today. He knows your struggles, your tears, your prayers, and your silent battles. His favor can locate you where others have forgotten you.
When Mephibosheth appeared before David, expecting judgment, he received mercy. David restored all the land that belonged to Saul and invited him to eat continually at the king's table (2 Samuel 9:7-13). In one day, Mephibosheth moved from obscurity to royalty, from rejection to acceptance, and from lack to abundance.

What a beautiful and memorable day it was for the youth of God's Everlasting Glory International Church!
The day began in prayer as we gathered in God's presence, committing our fellowship and activities to Him. We then had an enriching session of introductions, where the youth shared about their lives, aspirations, and faith journeys, creating an atmosphere of openness, connection, and fellowship.
The day was filled with joy and laughter through a variety of engaging activities, including musical chairs, Biblical charades, Bible trivia, and a Kahoot quiz competition. The friendly competitions brought out teamwork, enthusiasm, and a deeper appreciation of God's Word. Participants were also recognized with small awards, adding to the excitement of the day.
As we shared refreshments and conversations, the gathering became much more than a fun day—it was a meaningful opportunity for networking, friendship, encouragement, and strengthening our bond as young believers united in Christ.
We thank God for the wonderful fellowship, the new connections formed, and the memories created. May He continue to strengthen and guide the youth as we grow together in faith and purpose.
"How good and pleasant it is when God's people live together in unity!"

REFLECTING ON THE LIFE AND LEGACY OF PROPHET T.B. JOSHUA
Today, as we remember and honor the life, ministry, and enduring legacy of T.B. Joshua, let us take time to reflect on the lessons of faith, prayer, humility, and love for humanity that he exemplified.
His life remains a testimony that God can use an ordinary person to accomplish extraordinary things for His Kingdom. Through his teachings and example, countless lives were transformed, hearts were restored, and many were led to Christ.
We encourage all people of God to tune in to Emmanuel TV tonight from 7:00 PM as we reflect on the life, teachings, and impact of God's servant. As you watch, may you be inspired to grow in faith, deepen your relationship with God, and embrace the call to serve others with love and compassion.
