Feca Development

🌾 Every seed planted is a step toward resilience.

The Urban Farming Workshop demonstrated how sustainable agriculture can create opportunities beyond food production. By combining farming techniques with agribusiness knowledge, refugee communities are better equipped to strengthen household food security and build sustainable livelihoods.
When communities have the tools to grow their own food and generate income, they become stronger, more resilient, and better prepared for the future.

🤝 Join FECA in promoting sustainable solutions that empower communities and improve lives.

🌱 Knowledge is the first step toward food security.

At FECA, we believe that empowering refugee communities begins with equipping them with practical skills that can transform lives. Through hands-on training in urban farming and agribusiness, participants explored sustainable ways to grow food, improve nutrition, and create income-generating opportunities.

Food security is more than having enough to eat, it is about building confidence, resilience, and the ability to create a better future.

🌱 Until We Are All Safe: Food Security as a Form of Safety
Access to food is more than a basic need, it is a foundation for dignity, stability, and resilience. As part of our commitment to empowering refugee communities, FECA partnered with Refugees Consortium of Kenya to conduct an Urban Farming Workshop, equipping participants with practical farming and agribusiness skills that can strengthen household food security and create sustainable income opportunities.
By investing in knowledge, self-reliance, and community-driven solutions, we are helping build safer, stronger futures where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
Together, we move closer to a world where safety includes the ability to feed oneself and one's family with dignity.

🌱 Growing Skills, Growing Communities

FECA, in partnership with the Refugees Consortium of Kenya (RCK), recently held an Urban Farming session at Kayole Social Hall, bringing together refugee community members to learn practical and sustainable farming techniques.

Through urban agriculture, communities can improve food security, generate income, and build resilience in challenging environments. The training provided participants with valuable knowledge and hands-on skills to make the most of available spaces for food production.

Together, we are empowering communities with sustainable solutions that promote self-reliance, economic empowerment, and a greener future.

FECA was honored to host the Refugees Consortium of Kenya (RCK) team during a courtesy visit to our office. The visit provided an opportunity to explore potential areas of collaboration, including the establishment of a demonstration garden and poultry farming initiatives.

These discussions reflect our shared commitment to empowering communities through sustainable agriculture, food security, skills development, and economic resilience. Together, we continue to explore practical solutions that create lasting impact and improve livelihoods.

We look forward to fostering partnerships that promote self-reliance, growth, and community transformation.
