Day 10: Our very last day of holiday camp.

It being our last day together, we spent the day indoors doing crafts that make us happy. We are so grateful for all the kids who spent the holidays at club, we thank your parents for sending you and we look forward to seeing you all again at another event.
We wish you a lovely week of rest (those who are still on holiday), and a productive term when you resume school next week.

Above all, we thank God for enabling us to run a successful holiday camp with no accidents or incidents. All we did was have fun, learn lots of new things and enjoy each others company.

Day 9: April 2016 holiday camp

Every time we have holiday camp, we try and teach the club members to give back! So on Thursday, despite the rain, we paid a visit to a very special place - House of Charity children's home. The kids got to play and do some crafting activities with the babies and toddlers at the home. We also helped at feeding time and in just caring for the little ones. Thank you House of Charity for having us and for taking such good care of the babies at the home. May God truly bless you.

After our visit, our kids still had time to do some etching and weaving activities before we called it a morning. How time flies, only one day of club left......

Day 8: Team work! Team work!

So we split the kids into groups and got them to work together on projects that involved recycled materials. We built a castle, a sky scraper and a giant aircraft. They did so well and deserved to go on an exciting treasure hunt after their projects.

Our apologies to all the kids who went home with messy clothes ..... unfortunately, they will never be the same again:) (the clothes, we mean).

Our visit to Kahesa Paper 20/04/2016

We finally have access to the photos of our visit to Kahesa PAPER. The kids learned about the history of paper and they each got a chance to make paper from banana tree pulp. It was good fun for all of us! have a look....

Day 7: April holiday camp

We spent the morning doing something different - we went to a science laboratory and learnt that some fruits (lemons and oranges) and vegetables (potatoes) can act as conductors of electricity. .... pics to be posted separately

When we got back from the lab, we did some simple crafts to get us back into our artsy selves after the fun science session:)
