Veeery sad evening!! Unbelievable that Hon. Johana Arap Ngeno is no longer with us.
The leader who stood firm with the kipsigis community in the border.
The leader who fought for the establishment Emurua Dikir constituency single-handedly.
The leader who was next on the line of being the Kalenjin kingpin.
Rest in eternal peace Kingpin.

Livestock Principal Secretary Jonathan Mueke has urged the Senate to support policy and legislative reforms initiated by the Ministry of Agriculture to strengthen the sector and address the countryโ€™s food security challenges.

Speaking during a retreat of Senators in Naivasha, the PS said the Ministry has lined up a series of legislative and policy proposals which, if implemented, would significantly boost food production and enhance national food security.

Mueke represented Agriculture Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe at the meeting.

He called on the Senate to ensure counties allocate at least 10 per cent of their budgets to agricultural services to spur productivity at the grassroots level.

However, the PS acknowledged that there exists a significant gap in the implementation of agricultural extension services, citing weak coordination and lack of effective liaison mechanisms between the national government and county governments.

โ€œAgriculture is a devolved function, but there is a big disconnect in its implementation,โ€ he said, pointing to poor coordination between the two levels of government.

He urged Senators to support the establishment of liaison offices in every ward to enhance coordination and implementation of agricultural programmes, adding that the Ministry has already set aside funds to operationalise the offices.

Among the draft Bills prepared by the Ministry and expected to be tabled in Parliament are the Veterinary Services Bill and the Animal Products and Technology Bill.

However, Senate Committee on Agriculture Chairperson David Wakoli faulted the national government for what he termed insufficient support to the sector, describing its approach as largely theoretical.

He said irrigation development has fallen short of expectations, noting that the number of dams constructed does not match pre-election pledges made by the President. He also cited fisheries and the blue economy as areas where government intervention has been inadequate.

โ€œIf you visit most of our fish landing sites, you will find that beach management committees have hardly felt the impact of government policies,โ€ Wakoli said.

Senator Catherine Mumma questioned the frequency of intergovernmental sectoral meetings and urged the national government to support counties without encroaching on devolved agricultural functions. She also called for mechanisms to ensure counties have access to quality farm inputs.

Senator Wahome Wamatangi stressed the need for sound policies, noting that farmers are subjected to low producer prices while importers appear to be protected, leaving local producers struggling financially.

Senator Joyce Korir advocated for zero-rating animal feeds to reduce production costs, while Senator Beatrice Ogola urged the State to strengthen regulation to ensure the safety and quality of animal feeds.

๐Ÿ˜…Mr. Nice guy below is the most important advice for you. ๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ˜€

A nice guy never gets:

- The girl he wanted.
- The job he wanted.
- The life he wanted.

Why? Because nobody respects a man whoโ€™s too nice and agreeable. Seriously, being "Mr. Nice Guy" might make you everyoneโ€™s favorite shoulder to cry on, but it sure doesnโ€™t get you what you actually want.

Letโ€™s break it down:

That girl youโ€™ve been pining over?

Sheโ€™s not looking for a human doormat who agrees with everything she says. Sheโ€™s looking for someone with a bit of edge, a guy who knows what he wants and isnโ€™t afraid to speak his mind. If youโ€™re always bending over backward to make her happy, youโ€™re just going to end up in the friend zone, offering relationship advice about the guy sheโ€™s actually interested in.

And that dream job?

Well, itโ€™s not going to land in the lap of someone who just nods along with every idea in the office. Being too agreeable means you blend in with the wallpaper. Youโ€™ve got to stand out, make bold moves, and show that youโ€™ve got the guts to take charge. Nice guys finish last because they never take the risks needed to move up the ladder.

Then thereโ€™s the life youโ€™ve always wanted.

๐ŸšจSpoiler alert: itโ€™s NOT going to happen if youโ€™re always saying โ€œyesโ€ to everyone elseโ€™s needs while ignoring your own. You canโ€™t please everyone and expect to get ahead. If youโ€™re too busy being everyoneโ€™s best buddy, youโ€™re not going to have time to chase your own dreams.

People respect strength, confidence, and assertiveness. So STOP being the "nice guy" who gets overlooked, and start being the man who knows what he wants and isnโ€™t afraid to go after it. That doesnโ€™t mean turning into a jerkโ€”it means having the confidence to stand up for yourself, to say "no" when needed, and to go after what you want without apologizing for it.

Think of it this way: lifeโ€™s a bit like a jungle, and nice guys are the GAZELLES.

Sure, theyโ€™re polite, but theyโ€™re also lunch for the lions. You want to be the lionโ€”calm, confident, and respected. A little bit of edge goes a long way in getting the respect you deserve and the life you actually want.

So, next time youโ€™re tempted to be overly nice, remember: Nice guys might get the consolation prize, but assertive men get the gold.

No excuses!

Go to the gym,
Even when your body is screaming "stay in bed." Yeah, youโ€™re tired, but thatโ€™s not an excuse. Strength isnโ€™t just built with weights, itโ€™s built with consistency. Push through and get it done.

Start that business,
Even if youโ€™ve only got $5 to your name. You donโ€™t need a fortune to start; you need drive. Big empires were built from small ideas and a lot of hustle. Your wallet might be empty now, but your ambition shouldnโ€™t be.

Invest in education,
Even if youโ€™re flat broke. Knowledge is priceless, and what you put in your mind today will pay off tomorrow. Whether itโ€™s a book, a course, or just learning from experience, keep investing in yourself. Thatโ€™s the one stock that will never let you down.

Do that work,
Even when motivation is nowhere to be found. Motivation is temporary. Discipline, though? Thatโ€™s what separates the boys from the men. Youโ€™re not always going to feel like doing the work, but you do it anyway because thatโ€™s how you win.

You are a man.
Challenges are part of the game. Find a way to get things done, no matter whatโ€™s standing in your way.

Excuses donโ€™t build successโ€”action does. So, take a deep breath, step up, and make it happen.

A Professor started his class on a very serious Topic. The moment he turned towards the blackboard, one of the students whistled.

He turned, looked at the class and asked the Whistler's name. No one answered.

The Professor peacefully kept the Pen in his pocket saying: "Lecture ends here. I'll tell you a story to utilise the remaining time".
Everyone became interested.

"Yesterday night I tried hard to sleep, but it was miles away from my eyes, so I thought I'd better get petrol in my car, which will save my time next morning and might induce sleep.

After having my tank full, I started roaming in that area, enjoying the
peace of a traffic free ride.

Suddenly, on the corner I saw a girl who was as young and beautiful as the clothes she was wearing. Must have been returning from a party.

Out of courtesy, I turned my car towards her and asked if I may be of any help. She asked me if I could
drop her to her home, she'll be very obliged, to which I agreed.

She sat in the front seat with me. We started talking, and to my amazement she was very intelligent, had control on many topics which many youngsters don't.

When we reached her address, she admitted my courteous nature and behavior and accepted that she had fallen in love with me.

I also admitted her intelligence and beauty and that I've also started liking her. I told her about my job
as a professor in the university.

The girl asked my number, which I gave her willingly. Then she asked me a favor, to which i couldn't have denied naturally.

She said that her brother is a student in the same university, and asked me to take care of him, since we'll be in a long relationship now.

I asked the name of the student. She said that I'll recognise him with one of his very prominent quality, He whistles a lot!

All eyes in the classroom turned towards the boy who had whistled.

The professor said:
"I didn't buy my Ph.D in Psychology...
I earned it.โ€ Oya! Come out

Every setback is merely a stepping stone towards success, every failure a lesson in disguise. Let go of the fear of judgment and the shackles of self-doubt, for they only serve to hinder your potential.

Believe in your abilities, for they are the seeds of greatness waiting to blossom.
