Courtship in lions is a fascinating display of persistence and timing. A male begins by closely following a receptive lioness, often touching her gently with his paw, rubbing against her, and sniffing to determine whether she is ready to mate.
When the lioness is receptive, the pair mates repeatedly over several days—sometimes every 15–30 minutes. This frequent mating helps increase the chances of successful fertilization while strengthening the temporary bond between the pair.
These moments may look gentle, but they're an essential part of the lions' reproductive cycle and the continuation of the pride's lineage.

It was a day filled with pomp, colour, and celebration as our Board of Directors, led by the Board Chairman, joined staff, members of the local community, our neighbours from TANAPA, stakeholders across the Mara-Serengeti ecosystem, and the Narok County Government to commemorate 25 years of conservation excellence.
This milestone reflects a quarter-century of dedication, collaboration, and commitment to protecting one of the world's most iconic ecosystems. We extend our heartfelt appreciation to everyone who has contributed to this remarkable journey.
Together, we celebrate our achievements and look forward to building an even stronger future for wildlife, communities, and conservation.

A River in Motion. A World in Awe.
Yesterday, the Mara River came alive as thousands of wildebeest made a spectacular crossing, creating one of nature's most breathtaking wildlife events. With dust rising, hooves thundering, and instinct leading the way, the Great Migration once again reminded us why the Maasai Mara remains one of the world's greatest natural wonders.
Every crossing is unique, unpredictable, and a testament to the resilience and survival of these incredible animals.

The king dines while the opportunist waits.
Patience is a survival strategy on the African savannah. As this dominant male lion enjoys his hard-earned meal, a watchful jackal keeps a respectful distance, waiting for the perfect opportunity to claim whatever is left behind. Every feast in the wild supports more than one life, reminding us that nature wastes nothing.

**After the rush hour, our traffic marshal finally clocked off and fell asleep on duty. 🦁😴**
Perched atop the signpost, she seemed determined to keep an eye on things—until the long day caught up with her. Even the rumble of a passing vehicle was enough to briefly wake her before she settled back into her well-earned nap.
Just another day in the Mara, where wildlife always has the right of way and even the traffic marshals take their breaks seriously.
