In many parts of Kibra, access to clean water is still not guaranteed.
What should be a basic need often becomes a daily struggle, affecting health, dignity, time, and livelihoods.
This video is not only about water. It is about the realities surrounding access: the environment, the conditions, and what communities continue to navigate every day.
Clean water should not be a privilege.
Voices from the Nubian community in Kibra.
Unity is described through everyday actions — loving one another, sharing what is available, visiting each other, and supporting those in need.
It is also rooted in a shared culture and land and shaped by the reality of being a minority.
Unity is seen in love, generosity and showing up for one another.
Unity is what sustains minority communities and should be cultivated deliberately — especially as the election period approaches.

During International Women’s Day, Infoconnect reached out to women leaders from our community to reflect on the role of women in shaping society.
Yasmin Mohammed, the Executive Director of Superb Community Based Organization (Superb CBO), shared her reflections on women’s empowerment, leadership, and the challenges women in marginalized communities continue to face.
While these are her personal reflections, they represent the experiences and voices of many women who continue to uplift families, strengthen communities, and inspire the next generation.
Today we celebrate Yasmin and all women whose resilience, leadership, and dedication continue to shape a better future.
Happy International Women’s Day.

"When a people are denied recognition, they are denied existence" Today on the floor of the Senate Hon. Edwin W. Sifuna raised a crucial question to the ministry of Interior on behalf of the Nubian Community - seeking clarity on recognition, documentation and repariations for historical injustices. For decades lack of recognition has denied many Nubians access to IDs, land rights and full citizenship privileges.

🌍 Beating Plastic Pollution Starts With Us 🌍
Plastic is choking our environment—clogging Kibra’s drainage, polluting our rivers, and endangering our health. Most of it is single-use, discarded carelessly and left to last for hundreds of years.
But here’s the truth: we can change this.
💚 In Kibra, clean-up champions are already making a difference.
💡 Youth are innovating—turning waste into paving bricks and products.
📣 Global efforts are pushing for a binding treaty to end plastic pollution.
Here’s how YOU can help:
♻️ Reduce single-use plastic
♻️ Reuse containers, bags & bottles
♻️ Sort your waste for recycling
♻️ Join clean-ups and spread awareness
This fight starts at home. In our homes, estates, schools, and markets. Let’s take action—today—not tomorrow.
✨ Together, we can make Kibra cleaner, greener, and healthier. Let’s 💪
