A key highlight of the day was Joe Okelo’s powerful conversation on leadership, continuity, and legacy in family-owned businesses. The discussions highlighted the importance of:

Prioritizing founder wellness as part of business continuity and peace of mind.

Day 2 of the AAR Insurance Sales Conference 2026 continued the momentum with insightful conversations, strategic updates, and meaningful discussions under the theme “Business Unusual” at Safari Park Hotel.
The day featured presentations from the NCBA IPF Solutions team alongside product and business updates across Retail, Corporate, SME, Retention, General Insurance, and IPMI, all centred around innovation, stronger partnerships, and delivering greater value to customers in a rapidly evolving landscape.
The sessions offered practical insights into growth opportunities, customer retention, and strengthening relationships across key market segments, reinforcing the importance of staying agile and customer-focused in today’s business environment.
One of the standout moments of the day was the “Wellness Matters the first panel discussion of the day moderated by our Manager people and culture Grace Mathu, which brought together voices from healthcare, faith, insurance, and business leadership including Dr.Lilian Gikandi MD, Pinto Kali, and David Kiathe.
As David Kiathe shared, “We cannot pour from an empty cup,” a powerful reminder that protecting your wellbeing is deeply connected to protecting the future of your business and legacy.
