Safaricom have been asking for MPESA pin instead of Service PIN, when purchasing minutes and data.

This means that their customers will enter their MPESA pins more times, including when in public spaces.

Something that makes it very unsafe is that the pin is entered in plain text. This means that as you enter the pin, it is not changed to **** instead, it's written plainly on the screen.

People passing or standing by can read your pin on your screen.

When am walking around a place I've never been to, it's difficult to know where the roads end or where there is a dead end.

But, when I see a footpath nicely printed out, i know this path probably leads somewhere. And more than 70% of the time, am right.

So, when you here many people saying something, there's probably some truth to it.

Facebook's new group automatic new member welcome feature is a neat feature.

Right now, when you text a 'stranger' for the first time, Facebook automatically hides your message in their inbox and does not notify them of your message in their inbox.

Now, you may wait for days, weeks, months, maybe years, waiting for a reply 🤦

If the receipt never opens, their inbox, they may never see your message. And this doesn't including opening a message from notifications.
