Change is a never ending process.
What you driving your change at the moment?
January is almost over. Research has shown that by 15th January 43% of people who made new year resolutions or goals have quit on themselves. Yes! They have lost the excitement and enthusiasm to pursue what they said they would do to create a better life in 2024.
If you fall in the 43% who are on track and taking action as intended, congratulations!🎉🎊 Keep going until you achieve your goal, no matter the challenges along the way. I will see you at the top💫✨🙌🏼.
If you are in the 57% category, I have some good news for you ⭐️✨! It’s never too late to start or start all over again. You can recommit to chase your dreams and make it happen.
To start over here are some common reasons why you may have stalled:
1. Procrastination.
The pitfall of ‘I will do it tomorrow’.
2. You didn’t write down your goals.
Most people simply just dream and leave it at that. This then becomes like wishful thinking.
3. Lack of a strong ‘Why’ for your intention to achieve a goal is like having a car without fuel. Without a strong why you soon loose interest and commitment to pursue your goals
4. Your goals are not SMART ( Specific, Measurable, Realistic and Timebound).
5. You don’t have a written plan of action or roadmap to achieve your goals.
6. You don’t have an accountability system.
7. You are living and thinking small. So you lack the ability to dare to do Big Things!
Years back I fell into this same cycle until I started doing self development and working with mentors who helped me install a personal goal setting process that moved me from the 57% category to the 43%.
That is why 9 years ago I started helping others with setting their goals and when I trained and got certification for coaching 7 years ago I have been offering the most powerful Self Discovery Visionboard Workshop in the Region. So far I have helped over 5,000 people not only complete their boards but also given them tools to set their shorter term goals.

With New Years there comes a list of things we all believe we should do:
I should join a gym
I should set goals
I should start a business
I should invite more people
etc etc.
However, shoulds empower no one! They just make you feel uninspired and pressured to do things that you dont feel like doing.
I am not saying that you should always do what you feel like doing because that may mean just Netflixing for hours or eating the wrong things that wont have the desired effect on your health.
But what if you first look at the vision you want to create for yourself in 2023? What is the person you want to be in 2023? You want to be:
- Healthier?
- Stronger?
- More financially secure?
- A better Leader?
- A Stronger Role Model?
By first establishing the vision you want to create for yourself then its a matter of making better choices.
Choose the healthier meal on the menu
Choose to invest time in your business to help it grow
Choose the people you want to spend time with that may help you create a better version of yourself
Choose to join a gym because you deserve a healthier version of you.
and if some days you make a bad choice, that's ok too. Tomorrow is a new day, where you can focus on better choices.
So with this, wishing you a Happy New Year - and go out and create and live the life you want to live!
