De opvolging van weeskinderen en kwetsbare kinderen staat centraal, zowel op educatief als medisch niveau. Zo worden de kinderen geholpen voor hun opvoeding, verzorging, verbetering van de levensomstandigheden en medische zorgen. Zij krijgen schoolgeld (kan voor het basis-, secundair-, hoger of universitair onderwijs zijn), psychologische begeleiding d.m.v. regelmatige school- en thuisbezoeken en

In June Cross Your Borders was again at SJT AMKA HEALTH PROJECT with a small group of students in Kenya. This time not secondary school students, but students who're in secondary vocational education (MBO) from the following disciplines:
1x legal-, insurance and hr-specialist (Amber)
1x e-commerce specialist (Boaz)
1x software development (Ruben)
1x pedagogue (Lisanne)
2x social worker (Nikki & Rosanne)
4x health social worker (Ivar, Klaas, Tim, Youp).
Again thanks to all for your interest and great interaction. We loved it!
Endless grateful: Amelia Vermeire Verbrugghe and Ritchie Vermeire for their visit at AMKA'S. Thanks to a crowdfunding they could collect 29 mattresses and 60 schoolbags. God bless you. Sophie. ❤️❤️🇰🇪🇰🇪🙏🙏

What an honour to welcome again this beautiful Dutch initiative Cross Your Borders at our SJT AMKA HEALTH PROJECT. Youth between 15 and 17 years old came to Kenya to live an immersion experience between locals. An impressive added value in each other's life✨️🇰🇪❤️

In the name of this international woman day special thanks to all my sisters at SJT AMKA HEALTH PROJECT. They are the bone back of the project, the ones who stands there every single day. I love you all ❤️❤️❤️🇰🇪 Sophie
Am so proud of my AMKA team. Today they had the visit of 35 Dutch youth of the organization Cross Your Borders with food and activities. All well done!
And we have since last August full time volunteers given the best of themselves. And lots more booked this year!
It's such a nice interaction and added value for both Europe and Africa. YES WE CAN!

One of our volunteers Carole Van den Bosch is actually at the project and is helping the kids. Here she is doing a home visit at Grand mother and Grand child Fabian. One of our children.
Thanks a lot Sophie for the support, most of our children can have a good mattress, even to place on the floor and have a calm sleep.
