To commemorate , here is a beautiful photo of Mt. Kenya Bush Viper(Atheris desaixi) This species is endemic to Kenya and has only been recorded in two distant localities, one in Chuka on the South-east of Mt Kenya and the other in Igembe forest in the Nyambeni Hills.

We celebrate and welcome a newborn to Bageni group in Virunga National Park, DRC. Adult female Karibu gave birth on June 9th. Dr. Eddy from Gorilla Doctors reports that both are doing well, despite Karibu having a swollen arm.
